Biel on the Big Screen
This Friday The Illusionist opens in theaters nationwide. Former 7th Heaven regular Jessica Biel stars with Hollywood heavyweights Paul Giamatti (Sideways, Cinderella Man, Lady in the Water) and Edward Norton (Primal Fear, Kingdom of Heaven) in this period drama that's quite different from what's out there right now. Do you think Jess will excel at the more serious roles she's attempting? Or will she be Mary Camden to you forever?

I THINK Jessica Biel will make it as a serious actress. She is beautiful and has a cetain charisma about her. She can also sing and dance.

Jessica Biel be taken seriously?? Never! She is a nothing actress, who was lucky to be involved with Seventh Heaven, and then not much after that. Everything else she has tried has been panned by critics.....she will never amount to anything.

She will ALWAYS be Mary Camden to me! I don't care if she wasn't in half of the show's seasons....I love her to death!

My mommy is much better at these types of roles than Biel is. Who did her agent pay off? No way she should be sharing the screen with a couple of Oscar-nominated actors.

Here's the thing. Jessica Biel may want to be taken seriously as an actress, but to me, she's never going to be anyone but Mary Camden, the bad girl of 7th Heaven! And the reason I love to hate (or hate to love) 7th Heaven is for the scandalously bad acting. Jessica Biel contributed to that -- you can't deny it!
So no, to me she'll never be more than Mary Camden.
