Smallville: Gifts That Keep on Giving
![]()
We were in hard-core last-minute shopping mode at the bookstore and started thinking about some good reads that our favorite Smallville folks might need. Here's what we came up with:
Clark - The Superhero Starter Kit, The Physics of Superheroes, Dare to Be Yourself: How to Quit Being an Extra in Other People's Movies and Become the Star of Your Own
Lex - 1000 Steps To World Domination, 101 Spy Gadgets for the Evil Genius
Lana - What to Expect When You're Expecting, I Thought I Was the Crazy One: 201 Ways to Identify and Deal with Toxic People
Chloe - Shaking the Foundations: 200 Years of Investigative Journalism in America, Investigative Journalism: Context and Practice
Ollie - Zen in the Art of Archery, Removing Your Mask: No More Hiding from Your Truth
Lois - Cousins: A Unique and Powerful Bond, The Reporter's Notebook: Writing Tools for Student Journalists
Lionel - Children of Paradise: Successful Parenting for Prosperous Familes
Martha - Parenting Isn't for Superheroes: Everyday Strategies fo Raising Good Kids
What titles would you like to give your favorite Smallville characters? And what else should be on their wish lists this holiday season?
MORE: Allison Mack asks for your help this holiday season. Thanks, Sandra!
Comments
Can't wait for the Chlark coming up; Feb Sweeps is going to be brilliant because of it. Clark's confessing he wants her? She's the only one he can turn to when he's stuck in his own mind? It's going to be FANTASTIC!
And good for Allison! I hope everyone here has left at least one youtube comment to help a dying child. After all if you can make petty comments about your fellow fans, then you can try to do something positive for a sick boy too.

How pathetic! Chloe fans are so lame; who gave them the right to always bash other characters for the sake of their "ship"?? Can't you just simply praise Allison and others for the noble thing they are doing? Does it have to be accompanied by some really silly remarks about Lana and Lois? Why do you turn every discussion into bashing?
Seriously, no one is amused by your stupidity!
twkkgirl (among others) maybe if you took the time to actually read the comments, you'd see that it's actually the *CHLOE/ALLISON* fans who *ARE* praising what she's doing and instead the ED/CLOIS/LOIS fans, or as I like to call them the "DIers" (and yourself who is a Clanarchist) who are nonsensically bashing one fangroup.
Let me ask a question, why must someone who sees a poster "bash" Lois then turn around and "bash" that PERSON and not a *character*? What makes THAT right and the "bashing" of a FICTIONAL character wrong?
Oh and one more thing...
Seriously, no one is amused by your immaturity!

Ppl, Clark is not into Clo Clo. People misinterpret supposed interest in her for loneliness because he doesn't have anything going on in his love life right now - which is fine, because he's supposed to be working on that superhero thing anyway AND we all know he ends up living happily ever after with a Ms. Lois Lane.
Happy Festivus!
------------
Haha! True! Hence all the Lois-bashing by shippers but Clois will get the happy ending no matter who says what :)

Woohoo.. someone is really frightened by Lois..
HA! You wish...
What should anyone be frightened of? That she will write the word 'Smallville' with 9 mistakes?

Clark: Lessons in flying for Kryptonians;
How to impress your bossy, stuck-up, rude and beautiful soulmate.
Martha: What to do if your gorgeous son has a wardrobe crisis?
Lois: Why I fell for a farmboy;
Steps towards success for a hardworking journalist;
Knowing he's your soulmate when you've accidentally kissed him.
Lana: Lessons on how to trust people;
Distinguishing between good and bad.
Lex: My journey towards dark side.
Lionel: The art of being wicked.
Chloe: How to be original and come out of identity crisis;
How to stop being jealous of your cousin and become something on your own;
Real life journalism without the use of laptop.

"Chloe could have used "He's Just Not That Into You" a while ago"
LOL! I think she still needs it!
By the way, I think that now there are no doubts about the fact that Chloe fans can turn anything and everything into Lois-bashing! Boy! Why *are* you guys so much threatened by Lois? It's not like Chloe has been kicked out of the show or anything. She's even got a boyfriend this season. What more do you want? Why *do* you guys keep taking out your anger on Lois? You guys are more obsessed with Lois than her own fans!

"This is what we all should TRULY be focusing on and not bickering over which female character is best."
I wish all Allison fans start thinking like you because the rest of us truly wish for this bashing/bickering to stop. Thanks for this comment.

I think Lois's certain cousin needs them desperately because she doesn't have a place to live and is still an intern. So Lois should them and give it to her cousin along with these:
- How to get over your high school crush.
- Life outside google.
- Yellow pages.

Hey Chloe fans, tell me something, why do you guys seek consolation in 'Chlois dreamworld' always? I mean, if your Chloe is as *good* as you say she is, why do you need the 'Chlois' mask to hide behind when you come accross Lois fans? Come on, confront us with your 'Chloe' if she is better than Lois. Don't desperately try to hijack our Lois's name for the survival of your character!

"This really saddens me. Here it is 2 days before Christmas and you are baselessly attacking another group of posters for no reason other than to do it."
Really? It saddens you? Then I am sure the pathetic Lois bashing in this thread would sadden you more, i.e., if you have read those posts before posting this!
Stop the hate! A lot of people love Erica & will keep loving her despite of your bashing!

---
Oh, the 'Chlois' again.. off course your excuse for everything.. and why not, Chloe is nothing on her own... "Just because Clark doesn't end up with my Chloe so please give Erica's role to Allison.. so we might get Chlark...
Trying to force Chloe down everyone's throat is not going to work guys..
ED is a great version of Lois and we are thankful to Smallville for presenting Erica Durance as Lois Lane, thank you, we don't want the history of our favorite character ruined because 'Chlark won't happen otherwise' We love Erica and her Lois..
Grow up guys, and seriously, buy yourself some copies of Superman comics.

Trish and Winchestergirl:
This really saddens me. Here it is 2 days before Christmas and you are baselessly attacking another group of posters for no reason other than to do it. Why? Why can't we all just put aside our differences ONE TIME of the year and focus on what's truly important?
Like the link that Claire posted. Helping the 5 year old boy who's fighting for his life. Let's do some good here and stop all the childish bickering. Have you done your part? No one is saying you have to donate money, all it takes is rating the vid high and leaving comments at YouTube.

Do you guys actually think Lois is going to read? Give her a cliff notes version and MAYBE she'll take a look at that if it has pretty pictures.
Allison, you are a bigger person than me. Big Heart.

Awww, Allison's such a doll. She has such a big heart. Bless her and the rest of the SV cast for their immense generosity!
This is what we all should TRULY be focusing on and not bickering over which female character is best.

Ummm Fried Twinkies?...According to Ksite..Mr. Kent was/is very interested.
I would give Lois "Tabloid Journalism for Dummies."
Ms Mack? How wonderful of her to help out!
Posted by: Dan | December 21, 2006 9:42 PM
Lois definately needs a copy of Fired!: Tales of the Canned, Canceled, Downsized, and Dismissed. I think she could definately relate.
Posted by: Caryn | December 21, 2006 9:38 PM
Clark needs to find his copy of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus from Crush again to help him get his favorite blonde newsie. :)
And Chloe really needs a copy of Be Honest--You're Not That Into Him Either: Raise Your Standards and Reach for the Love You Deserve Beyond that I think Chloe should *definately* get a biography of Elizabeth Cocraine aka Nellie Bly.
And for Jimmy? Well I think he's going to need Things I've Learnd from the Women Who've Dumped Me in the near future. And probably one of those fancy Nixon cameras. :)
and GOOD for the CW for *FINALLY* getting behind Allison' project to help others!!!!!

It's great that the Allison and the cast are helping like this. I hope Parker and his family do have a wonderful Christmas this year!

Ouch, Fried Twinkies! That's rough!
But in the spirit of Christmas, here's more:
Shelby: "1001 Ways to bark and whine so that you get fed"...or mabye: "Sell Yourself: Making sure you convince TPTB to make you re-appear in Smallvile"
TPTB: Going Downhill: Fool proof ways to anger the fans and create a soap opera.

Chloe could have used "He's Just Not That Into You" a while ago, but she seems to be doing fine now. I hope she and Jimbo stay together a little while longer though. Aaron Ashmore is too cute!

It's great to see the CW getting behind this funraising effort for Parker and his family. Here's hoping they have a happy Christmas.
