Breaking: OTH, Smallville, Supernatural, Girlfriends and The Game Renewed?
We're hearing that OTH, Smallville and Supernatural have all been renewed for 22-episode seasons. No official word from The CW yet... and still no word on the uncertain future of Veronica Mars.
TV Guide says that The Game and Girlfriends will be back, too, but All of Us is through.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that The CW has picked up Aliens and Gossip Girl, (not a huge surprise) as well as a comedic drama called Reaper.
Now we're trying to envision the fall schedule. Will Supernatural and Smallville remain on Thursdays? Will OTH pair with Gossip Girl? Where will Aliens and Reaper fit in? Be sure to check in with us first thing Thursday morning when we live blog The CW upfronts -- we'll get the fall schedule scoop to you as soon as we hear it.

If this is your schedule than don't touch it! I hate it when shows are moved around. Let this be your schedule for a year and see what happens. If a I can't figure out what night you are airing a new series I'll give up and go to a network that supports its shows.

Michelle: The CW DID NOT end GG abruptly. It was not news that: both Lauren and Alexis wanted out so the CW tried negotiating to get both to stay on for a 13-16 episode season. If the actresses didn't accept the deal the CW was putting on the table, is it really the CW's fault the program ended? NO. You've got to remember: there are TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY.
BTW: The "Save One Show" campaign was Kristen at E!, not the CW.
The single program I watch on the CW is Supernatural, and I will keep on doing so regardless of the demise of GG (which I stopped watching 3 season's ago anyway)

I AM SOOOOO PISSED OFF THAT THEY TOOK AWAY GILMORE GIRLS!! WTF WAS THE CW THINKING. IM GOING TO MAKE SURE PERSONALLY THAT NOONE WATCHES THE CW AGAIN (EXCEPT OTH IF THE CW IS NOT STUPID AND BRINGS IT BACK) BECAUSE THEY JUST GAVE UP ONE OF THERE BEST SHOWS.. HELLO?? THEY KILLED IN THE SAVE ONE SHOW CAMPAIGN.. DIDNT THAT SHOW THE CW SOMETHING?? AND TO END IT SO ABRUBTLY.. THE CW HAS LOST THEIR MINDS.. I WILL ONLY CONTINUE WATCHING IT AT LONG AS THEY STILL HAVE OTH. I SWEAR EVERY SINGLE PERSON I KNOW HATES THE CW EXCEPT FOR OTH AND GILMORE GIRLS. I HOPE THEY GO UNDER BADDDDD. AS YOU CAN TELL I AM REALLLLLY ANGRY.

Hopefully this news is accurate.
Supernatural is captivating and addicting! Upfronts for CBS, ABC, and NBC show no change to their Thursday 9/8C programming, therefore the CW would be wise to move Supernatural to another night. (There are probably more SN/Greys fans than SN/SV fans)
SV could stay where it is. From my understanding, it's the writing on the show that is drawing fans away, not the competition.
Congratulations to the OTH fans.
Doug: I also like Jericho. Unfortunately, it's probably too expensive for the CW to produce but it would be great if the CW was able to pick up this program. Although, I disagree about it accompanying SV, which is more of a teen sci-drama. IMO, it probably would have a larger crossover audience with SN. (I'm thinking about age demographics here.)

If anyone at the CW is watching this, you guys really should pick up Jericho from CBS. It's a great show, it has the kind of young cast you favor, it is far more popular than anything you are airing now, and it would be a natural companion for Smallville.

I hope that, with another season ahead the SV team will use the summer to evaluate what went so wrong during S6 and apply themselves to effecting major improvements for S7.

22 more episodes of Sam and Dean? Fantastic news, the whole Supernatural team deserve this renewal and so much more recognition I hope for the outstanding show they have created.
I'm completely enthralled by these two characters and their story, and cannot wait to see what happens in Season 3. Congratulations SPN!
