i love this show. like no joke, i got all the seasons or christmas and once i started watching it i couldn't stop. i came home everyday after school and watched it. i was obsessed. my mom and friends think that i am crazy and i that i think i live in stars hollow with the characters. but its just such a great show. and the only thing i want more than a luke/lorelai relationship with my husband is a rory/lorelai relationship with my daughter. especially as a woman a child is one of the most precious things ever, and that type of relationship just makes everything seem worth it.

I love the GG! I too am so sad that the show ended, but I've bought the whole season so that I can watch it with my (future) daughter!
The season ending was half/half to me (after the important fact that it shouldn't have ended at all!) - I too think that we saw too little of Luke and Lorelei (although the throwing the going away party said it all) - I love the fact that Emily and Richard reconized how great Lorelei really was... I think Rory should have stayed with Logan, but still persued her dream as a reporter (maybe a "I will marry you, but not right now thing)...
I'm not sure about the whole movie idea, it wouldn't be the same... but I do think that Amy Palladino could come back with the GG maybe in a year or two... returning to Stars Hollow would be great... and the fans would love it!

When I heard last year that Gilmore Girls would have its season finale, I was extremely disapointed. I hate shows on MTV and stupid dramas and this was the only show I ever liked and followed.
So when I heard that the season finale was around the corner, I was expecting a great end! I agree with all of you who say that the end was rushed. I felt like all of a sudden Rory was leaving, Luke and Lorelai all of a sudden start kissing in the last episode and we never really got a final good-bye with Stars Hollow.
First of all, if you go back and watch all the seasons again, everything Lorelai ever did all pointed her to Luke. Things worked with him. But Chris? Everytime he came back Lorelai got hurt and things never worked out, so I don't understand why they even brought him back. Not alot of people cared about him or wanted him to be with her anyway. Most people wanted to see Lorelai and Luke get married. The whole series we waited to see Lorelai walk down the aisle and now we never will.
Second of all, Rory. I liked Dean but he didn't seem right for Rory. Then Jess came along and I'm sorry but he was perfect. They obviously complimented each other just enough for fans to love him. But then, they took him off the show too. Now, they put Logan on. At first I couldn't stand him, but then I finally started to like him. I can't believe that they put all this stuff leading up to him, and then they end with Rory and him breaking up!
So if it was my decision they could bring Gilmore Girls back for one more season. If I got to pick how it ended, here's what it would be...We would see Lorelai and Luke walk down the aisle. Jess would be there because Luke is his uncle. Rory and him would talk and get back together. They are obviously meant to be together. All of Stars Hollow would be there and we could get our final goodbye and most people would be satisfied.
P.S.- I agree also with whoever said the writers for the last season sucked. It seemed like they never even saw the show. It didn't have as many jokes, it wasn't as fast paced, and the actors didn't seem as into their roles.
BRING IT BACK! YOU'RE WASTING 7 SEASONS OF A GREAT SHOW IF YOU DON'T! AND ON TOP OF THAT, YOU'RE DISAPPOINTING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. AND I MEAN MILLIONS.

There was no closure. There has to be another season or at least another episode. It can't end like that.

Wow, what else is there for me to say? Tuesday nights just aren't the same anymore. I have been watching GG since day one and I have never missed a beat!! I watch all the repeats, it's on the family channel everyday @ 11am and 5pm. It's like watching it for the first time. This was one of the only shows that was worth following. Great characters, great story line, and very real.
Bring back Gilmore Girls!!!!!
I liked Jess for Rory, they complemented one another and genuinely cared for each other. There was an obvious mutual respect. Logan was good while he lasted, not really who I would picture for Rory, but ahh well.
I would like to see the story of Luke and Loreli transpire. I mean it was abt time they got back together, but I need more! lol. Then there's April, she could have easily fit in with Luke and Loreli, especially with Rory graduating and entering the working world. Grant it, no one can replace Rory, it just would have been a change of pace, that's all.
Lane, Zack, and the twins...the band...we could have worked with that.
The grandparents... they are characters all by themselves. lol.
I never liked Christopher, I always found him to be fickle. He is too wishy washy for me. talk abt an emotional roller coaster.
I was just too emotionally invested in the show, I laughed, I cried.. Bring them back!! lol.
Yes, it was rushed; the last episode left me feeling like I needed more. The expression on Rory's face when she turned down Logans proposal said sooooo much.
With that being said: Bring Back GILMORE GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can we do to get them to finish the season the Gilmore Girl way?
Posted by: Heidi | September 5, 2007 11:30 AM
If you are going to end such a good show with such a crappy last season, at least make the DVD's worth buying. The sixth season DVD sucks, no extras, no deleted scenes, no Gilmorisms booklet. I have to say, that the writers you picked up for the last season sucked and didnt even seen to know anything about the show. So please make the last season DVD worth the sixty dollars you are going to overcharge for it.

I think its just sad that the networks dont see the need for "family" oriented shows anymore. Gilmore girls was fun & carefree. its ending way before its time. The story line of luke & loreli. What about Lane & her family? There were so many things that could have kept the show going. I am so disappointed.

hey! I do agree that they should bring the show back. did anyone know that alexis is the one that was holding the show back then lauren said if alexis goes then i go. that is what ended the show. when i watch the reruns now i feel sad. Plese Bring It Back.
My mom and i thought that they could bring it back without rory and go with the whole luke and lorilli thing of course rory would come and visit once and a while. They ended it way to soon. Did Any you feel that it was rushed? I did.

Bring back Gilmore Girls. It's too early to end the show when the stories have just started - Luke & Loreli, Rory moving and starting a real job...
Bring the show back for at least 1-2 seasons

I started watching eagerly this past season and love seeing the reruns (first time). Lorelai and Rory are so refreshing, their banter is very refreshing.
Wish we had more time.
Cried at the end of the series finale. Us fans were left wanting more.....

PLEASE give us at least another season of Gilmore Girls! My mom and I watch it together every Tuesday and we have every season on dvd. We love it. We watch it literally everyday and its a great time for us to bond.
There are way too many reality shows on TV today...leave the good, wholesome, stories on the air.
Please bring it back my mom and I have been depressed for days.

I agree with all the comments so far. Tuesday nights shall never be the same for me without Gilmore Girls *tear*. The end left me wanting more! BRING GILMORE GIRLS BACK!! <3333

i watch your show every day i cry for that show
Posted by: anamaria | May 16, 2007 1:35 PM
I truly hope there will be a season 8 because you can not just leave us fans with hope for Loreli and Luke, and possible hope that Logan and Rory will be back together. They love each other to much and he will give in to have a long distant relationship especially with her traveling now.

I am so sad the series is over. I've been watching since day 1 ...I'll really miss my Tuesday nights Gilmore Girls.
It was rushed. There should have been a few more episodes to wrap things up. I was happy to see that Luke and Lorelai kissed and the party was great.
Posted by: GM | May 16, 2007 6:25 AM
I think that they should have had at least 1-2 more seasons. Especially since Luke and Lorelai just patched things up....they finally could've gotten married. They could have followed Rory with her new job.
So many good shows are being taken off the air and it really SUCKS!!!

OK, maybe I'm reading waaaaaaaay to much into this, but did anyone else get a weird vibe when the diner was all pissy and demanding that they couldn't have a party for Rory? I mean, she had this great opportunity, and they were all focused on some party like it was all about them. It kind of almost felt like the show was saying "Let it go, people."
They made up for it later when Rory and Lorelai were all emotional and grateful at the party, when they were saying goodbye to the town and, by extension, the fans. But it just felt odd for a minute or two there.
Anyone else get that feeling?
Posted by: jerslix | May 15, 2007 10:02 PM
WHAT ABOUT LOGAN!!!!! HE should've come back for the series finale! This episode was DEFINITELY rushed and wasn't ample time for everybody to say what they wanted to say. I don't know how anybody could be satisfied with that ending...so many strings left to tie up.....IT'S WRONG and I'll never be happy with the decision to end it so soon...

I think it is crazy that Gilmore girls has come to an end, all these stupid reality shows and yet a good show that encourages a mother daughter relationship and a family atmosphere amungst friends is great!! The majority of sitcoms today are either violent or overly sexual, you finally have a show that encourages pople to suceed in life no matter what they are handed and you cut it off. I always felt that Rory was a positive role model to yopung girls today and the whole single mom thing and working for sucess and never giving up was great. I know IAM ONLY ONE VOICE, BUT I HOPE OTHERS COME FORWARD TO ARGUE TO KEEP GILMORE GIRLS ON!! There is still so many angles to take!! Please for all the true fans give us one more season!! Amy Sherman Paladino is crazy to walk away, buy her out and continue giving us our Gilmorisms!!!
