Gilmore Girls: What a Waste
We are so irritated. Gilmore Girls has been fantastic as of late, and now there's only one episode left! The past handful of episodes have been up there with some of the most memorable episodes from the past seasons. We've seen drama, comedy, town meetings, romance, Emily, Richard, Kirk, Paris... Not too mention, classic Lorelai and Rory interaction... It's been everything we love about the Gilmore Girls. And now we only have one episode left. Not just of the season, but of the entire series!
The question is: where was all of this good drama in the first half of Season 7?
We think the blame lies in couple of factors. This is kind of the way some seasons have gone: slow start, big finish. Another problem was the new writers trying to get the tone of the show while mopping up the big mess Amy Sherman-Palladino left. Ok, so we've come to appreciate April -- it showed us the fatherly side of Luke. But the whole Christopher debacle really took the show down a bumpy road.
Kudos to the writers for bringing the show back to its roots, but that makes it all the more depressing. Only one show left. What a waste. We'd love to trade the first half of Season 7, almost all of Season 4 and some of Season 6, just to have a little more time in Stars Hollow. After the past few great episodes, we feel like there's so much untapped potential for lots more Gilmore greatness that we'll never get to see.
What do you think? Are we right on or are we just being too sentimental?
MORE: Here's a full recap -- we'll keep spoilery stuff off the blog for those of who you haven't seen it yet!

hi.. gee im really a big fan of gilmore girls! i wish luke and lorelai back in each others' arms again:) there is really big chemistry between the two! pls pls.. i want them two:) they are good couple. i hope there is season 8 wherein luke and lorelai will get married, then they will help guide rory to her life as well as april.... they will be the next gilmore generation...luke will be richard's successor and lorelai emily's successor but they will handle family democraticly, smooth, cool and there will be some trouble also... but at the end they find ways to solve it:) and they still live in star hallow:) geee...wheres the producer of this show? let us be heard to what fans wanted:) pls? this is really a wonderful show, inspiring and lots of lesson to learn from:) im sure many fans and audience will be delighted:) thanks for insipiring us:) i adore this show:) god bless:)

When are season 7 DVDs coming out in the UK?

I do not like the ending. I do see where it came from. It made a point to show both sides, to how someone would feel or act. But, I am sad.

They can take their gossip girl, and all the rest of the johnny come lately's and stick em where the sun don't shine. Here was a program that all age groups could watch, without the foul language and yes even a fifty seven yr.old grandmother loves this show! Dissapointed in Toronto!

WHAT!!?!?! WHY!!!!?? Why didn't Rory say yes to Logan?! They were great together!! This whole ending is so wrong!! She and Logan were so great together why couldn't she just go with him as you can tell that she wants to be with him but is only very stubborn. All we can do now really is hope that she comes to her senses and tries to get back with Logan soon... And why did they cancel the show? it is so good, luckily there is a rumor that there is going to be a movie......
Posted by: Maggie Simpson or something else | July 4, 2007 7:12 PM
What is with all of the negative comments about the way the season ended?! Yes, season 7 was blander than the other seasons, but at least the ending was open! Some people, like me, hated Logan, and are thrilled that Rori said no to him. It is almost like she is showing that you don't have to get married right away, which is good. And if you tell your boyfriend that you aren't ready, and then he breaks up with you, then that is a sign that it probably wouldn't have worked out in the future, anyway!
The open ending was a great way to close the series. We know that Luke and Lorelai end up together, as we all knew they should have (from the beginning), and Rori's future is open to all that she wants. Anybody else agree with me?
Posted by: Simone | June 17, 2007 11:17 PM
THIS Sucks because rory should have said yes to logan because they were great together! and they should have never cancelled the show why would you cancel something that worked and everybody loved. but thats all
Posted by: mae | June 5, 2007 9:42 AM
i hate this enidin rory and logan r mant to be together... they are so cute... hate this...WAS THIS IT? IS THE LAST EP OF THE GILMORE GIRLS??? IS THERE GOINTO BE 8TH SEASON???
Posted by: jossu | May 24, 2007 1:58 AM
What a waste!! I wanted more Rory and Logan and why couldn't she have it all ... a great job and Logan. So, ok Loreli and Luke got back together ... why the heck did you break them up in the first place! Why didn't you show Emily Gilmore getting her butt kicked ... what a bitch! Richard should have cheated on her. And I hate Paris' character. What was up with the pregnant Asian girl? Why not let her have a rockin' life too! I love the French gay guy ... he was the only one that said what we all were thinking!! And Suki was a cool character. I really did not like the spiky conversations or Lauralei's snarkiness either. They droned on for ever with the quick-witted nothings ... We look at TV to escape ... why make it dreary?

SOOOO not happy with the ending. Gilmore Girls needed to give us atleast one more seasons. Seven seasons was not enough. Ten seasons would have been more satisfying. Luke and Loreli can get back together and marry. Rory needs to show us how she makes it big in jounalizm world and go after Logan. I don't feel we got enough of Rory and Logan. PLEASE COME BACK???????????
Posted by: Lily | May 21, 2007 8:06 PM
I am very disappointed that Gilmore Girls is over. Even more disappointing is the lack of finality in the finale. For those who have watched from the beginning, it just seems like you gave up on us. That show was more than a couple laughs, it was a part of many people's lives. I had hoped that more things would have been wrapped up, for good or bad, atleast that would have been a real sence of finality. More to the point, I can't believe that was the choice to be dropped, it seems like that was an inportant show to your new netwrk, that and Supernatural are the only things keeping me glued to the new WB.
Posted by: Tiffany | May 21, 2007 1:31 PM
I love this show but is getting a little messy I know to be able to have a Drama show you have to have drama but give the viewer what the want to see we fall in love with the caracters and then you take them away I will like to see Rorry with Logan and Loralei and Luke together yes Rorry has change since she's been with Logan but so has he but his change was for the best he use to be a reble and now he is trying to be responsible and then she just dumps him. If you see a change on a person in real life I think we always try to give them the benefit of the doubt. So please put them back together they look good. I loooove you show.

I am so so upset about the ending of the gilmore girls. Season 7 was so boring, it lacked the pizzaz of the other seasons. What was up with Rory and Logan breaking up? The rejection was just so poorly written and there was just no feeling whatsoever coming from the characters. The last show was just a huge disappointment.
Posted by: Cristina | May 17, 2007 1:15 AM
OMG!!! I wonder if there was SO many people watching that they will come back from the aforementioned short season! ANYTHING!!
Posted by: Kristina | May 16, 2007 8:05 PM
I can't believe that you are ending the show!!! I really enjoyed watching it. I believe that this was one of the best and cleanest shows on TV and can't believe you are getting rid of it!! You should get rid of the other dumb shows you have that are full of it. So and so having sex with him and her and not to mention drugs, etc... No instead you get rid of a show that is honest and clean. This really makes me mad! The last episode left me hanging to tell you the thruth. You guys left too many questions unanswered. I really wish you would keep the show on longer :(
Posted by: Erika | May 16, 2007 4:35 PM
I agree, last nights episode wasn't NEAR as I wanted it to. It ended like a cliff hanger! If there's not more seasons the what in the world??? I can't believe it ended that way! With Rory and Lorelei both seperating and then Lorelei and her mom coming closer and YEAH!! What about Logan?? She can't forget about him that easily. Oh and how about Lorelei and Luke kissing. Are they going to end up getting married?? There are so many questions. I can't believe you'd decided to TRY to fit so many missing parts in one episode. Well, it didn't work. I absolutely LOVE gilmore girls and am REALLY going to miss it!!!
Posted by: Tiffany | May 16, 2007 12:02 PM
The series finale was sooooo AWFUL!!! No closure with anything! How can you not have Rory miss Logan, after all they've been through! How come Rory has to end up just like her mother, undecisive about relationships or how come you can't have Logan come back and work things out and wait for her! The series finale was not worth watching! (Disappointed)
Posted by: Gail | May 16, 2007 10:50 AM
I want more! I dont want it to end like this! Do they (Lor and Luke) get married? Does Rory realy end up with this job? This can NOT end like this!! I love this show.....WHY?
Posted by: lablaza | May 15, 2007 9:43 PM
Gilmore Girls is the best show in the history of Television! It's not just the story board its the characters. The show wouldn't be the show without them.I must admit at first the show didn't really catch my eye but what a comeback! It's AMAZING now!Anyways......I ABSOLUTLY LOVE logan( i want to marry him).I seriously think Rory should've said "Yes".I undersatnd why she didn'tt but honestly her life would've been some much better with him.She will always have the memory in her mind of him and will never find someone like that again!I seriously don't think the show should've ended with them apart!!!!I cry everytime time i think about the fact the show is ending. There will NEVER be a show like it again.Although it is just a show and is only on when it is filmed we are suposed to believe it is real life and although its not on the screen the life of the Gilmore Girls continue. So maybe all in all Logan will end up with Rory but it's not shown on T.V ( that makes me sound crazy but really think about it...it makes sense)!I wish they didn't end the show but to them our thoughts don't matter.......i wish they did! It"s been a good 7 years and i'm sad to say it's over but let's face it!I just want to say thank you to the show.....the one thing that always made me smile!
PS Now that i've seen Rory's life i wanna be just like her....a Journalist, have logan and well just be like her!I know I'm setting the bar high but so did she! My last though is: I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Gilmore Girls and there won't ever be show even close as good as this one( words can;t explain what im feeling.......just thinking about all the shows memories!) Okay well........Luv ya Gilmore Girls! xoxoxoxo( and the boys too!xoxo)LUV YOU"LL SO MUCH I CAN"T EVEN EXPLAIN IT!( i love there life and everything about it......now i sound stalkerish) BYE BYE...for good! xox

I can't believe the show is ending. I think it's really starting to pick up now. Where will Rory be once she graduates? Luke and Lorelai getting back together or even getting married? And Rory and Logan breaking up? Again? Why are the writers doing this to us. Her mom's love life is such a mess, why does Rory's have to be? If they are going to break them up, then they need to show Rory and Logan in 5 years, after they establish themselves, and they fall in love again and have a big wedding.
Posted by: Dezzarae | May 15, 2007 7:26 PM
I really hated the episode last week. CAN THEY REALLY END GILMORE GIRLS WITH LOGAN AND RORY BROKEN UP????? I can't believe they're doing that. I mean I'm happy that Luke and Lorelai will get back together but what about Rory?? I really thought that she would say yes to his proposal but I was shocked when she said no.
Posted by: Dilpreet | May 15, 2007 2:31 PM
I am so disappointed Gilmore Girls is ending. I almost want to cry. Gilmore Girls is the only show that I must watch on TV. I make it a point to always be home when it is on and if something comes up which is unavoidable and I will not be home, I tape it. Their was no notice in it ending. Their is so much still happening, how can it just end. Their is so much still open with Luke and Lorelai, and Rory and Logan. I can't believe it is ending. I think their is so much more for Gilmore Girls to give. I am going to miss Stars Hollow.
I am deeply sadden!
Posted by: Laura | May 15, 2007 1:06 PM
loved this program, but was disappointed when luke & lorelai didn't get together the 1st time & then she married rory's dad, christopher. Big mistake! Taking this program off the air before luke & lorelai get together is just wrong. plus rory needs to get together with a GOOD guy. unless logan shapes up he would not be the one for her. this could go on at least another season!
Posted by: judy | May 15, 2007 12:08 PM
I can't comprehend what is going on? Why is Gilmore going off. Who missed this huge oversight. Me & my family are seriously heart broken. What will I do for nice mother daughter stuff like that.

I AM SO DISSAPOINTED
Gilmore Girls is my favorite show. I have tuned in every tuesday. Ive probably seen every single episode and Ive loved all of them. I cannot believe that it finally has to end, geez why? Luke and Lorelai getting back together along with Rory and Logan's wedding would be such a great ending, And would leave me very happy to know it all worked out, finally! But now, I really want to see what happens with Rory, her career, and Logan :(
Posted by: A. | May 14, 2007 6:20 PM
It a shame that Gilmore Girls are leaving the air. Not often to you get to see a healthy relationship between a single mother and her daughter air on television it's just sad they have to say good-bye. I am truly sorry to see them leave. If there is anyway we the fans can get you the producers actors, etc., to change your minds just say so. Maybe just reconsider the error in judgement.
Luke just kiss Lorelai aready.
Posted by: Cherlyne | May 14, 2007 6:09 PM
ENOUGH ALREADY! LORELAI LOVES LUKE SO WHY CAN'T THEY JUST ADMIT IT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FAR TOOOO LONG.
Rory not accepting Logan's proposal is a good thing. She does need to "see the world" and what it has to offer her before settling down.
But the Luke and Lorelai thing REALLY is getting OLD!!!
Posted by: Delores Johnson | May 14, 2007 2:10 PM
Luke and Loralei should have gotten back together with a ring and a wedding with Rory and Logan beside them getting hitched also, with the whole town in attendance. It would have been a beautiful finale! I would also like to say that this is a dirty deal cutting this off at this time with millions of viewers loving every character and being such faithful followers. BIG DISSAPOINTMENT!
Posted by: C. Tromley | May 14, 2007 1:38 PM
I'm so upset that this is the end of the Gilmore Girls. This is my absolute favorite show, and I'm definitely going to miss tuning on Tuesday nights at 8PM. Yes I can watch it on ABC Family, but it's not the same. I hope Lorelai and Luke get together before the end of the show.
So sorry to see this show go off the air.
Posted by: Denise | May 14, 2007 10:48 AM
I love the Gilmore Girls. The show started airing when I got divorced and it helped me get through because lorilai is divorced and Rory is the same age as my daughter. PLEASE do not let the show end. I love Lorilais way of thinking. You left us hanging about Lorilai and Luke relationship.
Posted by: Gwenda Griggs | May 14, 2007 9:41 AM
I love Gilmore Girls! I can't believe that my wife got me caught up in the show :)
Posted by: Scott | May 13, 2007 10:27 AM
Not great. I loved Logan and Rory together. She keeps making bad choices: Jess? Please! Going back to Dean when he was a married man? Leaving Yale because she couldn't handle somebody saying she wasn't good enough? Really, I love Lorelai and Rory's relationship, but that doesn't mean that Lorelai's influence was the best on Rory. Let's see what the last chapter has to offer. I hope it's not yet another dissappointment. This series has been so great... until now!!

GG is the only program on television that is worth watching. It is such a shame that reality television is taking over, and quality programming such as this show is being canceled. Very bad decision on the part of the network.
Posted by: suzanne | May 11, 2007 9:47 PM
logan was really boring to me besides that umbrella jump.
i liked lukes nephew better for her anyways and its good that they didnt make everything all happy happy and boring for the finale.
plus luke and loralei will be together in the end so its ok!

Anyone see the preview for the series finale? It was a complete spoiler.
Posted by: Anonymous | May 11, 2007 10:46 AM
I am so angry that Rory broke up with Logan. It's not fair she should have said yes or at least Logan should have said that he will wait. They are perfect for each other after all they have gone through
Posted by: Ashley | May 11, 2007 5:06 AM
i think that rory feels accomplished. i also think that logan should be a bit more understanding (they don't have to get married so soon especially if rory's not ready). and i'm not sure what to make of this lorelai luke situation. if anything i think it should work out between them if they give it another try. i'm really goin to miss gilmore girls. i have watched every season (but not every episode). I LOVE GG! CUDOES TO THE CAST!!!

I have been a faithful fan of GG and find that CW has once again removed a great show and leaves crappy shows on the air. This isn't the first mistake they made but it does seem to be a pattern with them. Their choice in quality shows is being reduced to inane sitcoms with no substance. They will be losing me as a viewer as they have nothing left for me to enjoy. GG is far from over and I hope some cable station picks them up and runs with them. Very bad decision CW!!!
Posted by: theresa berenger | May 10, 2007 4:50 AM
I cant believe that its ending! it came out of nowhere. Gilmore girls has been the main part of bringing my mother my sister and I together on tuesday nights. It was an amazing show, and im actually kind of depressed that it is ending. I told my friends i feel like i just got dumped lol. Well if Lorelli and Luke are going to get together they better do it quickly because there time is running down to one episode. Im actually quite shocked as to how logan just said all or nothing, to rory and when she said no he just left. That kind of shows his true colors. I dont get how you can love someone and not even try to make it work. Logans a punk. Does it haaaaave to end? :(
Posted by: Vanessa | May 10, 2007 2:55 AM
Besides not getting to see the episode on Tues. I'm extremely sad to hear that GG is not returning next season. It is one of the few shows I enjoy watching. There are so many reality shows now, whatever happened to just good quality entertainment? It seems as though every show that a family can watch together is discontinued while other shows (ie reality shows)with no real point are being put on. I don't know about anyone else but I have enough reality in my life. It's nice to watch shows that have enough reality to them but have a touch of what life could or should be if we handled things differently. I'll miss watching GG. They made my Tuesday evenings enjoyable.
As far as the news flash, it wasn't a flash. It was like watching one of the car chases. We need to be kept informed, but we don't need a blow by blow or minute by minute description.
Posted by: Deborah | May 10, 2007 2:07 AM
And another thing, I think if you wanted to put a twist to things keep people interested and wanting more you shouldn't have broken up Rory and Logan before the last show, now people won't care to even watch it, unless there's a turn around?! :)
Posted by: Abby | May 10, 2007 1:00 AM
This sucks!!! Why put on so many episodes of how perfect Rory and Logan are for each toher when you're just going to destroy them in the end? There is definetly no closure for us "Logan N Rory" fans!!! She better change her mind on the last episode...[sigh, being hopeful]
Posted by: Abby | May 10, 2007 12:48 AM
i can not BELIEVE that you printed out what happened on may 8th episode ...i don't think you realized that here in Los Angeles...that it was interupted by KTLA 5 NEWS...BECAUSE OF THE GRIFFITH PARK FIRES...SO WE DID NOT GET TO SEE IT ...
WHEN WILL IT SHOW :(
HOW COULD YOU HAVE DONE THIS !!!!!!!
Posted by: maria meza | May 9, 2007 10:31 PM
WHY WHY WHY, writers? Please tell me there's a happy ending in store for Logan & Rory. They are amazingly good for one another.
Posted by: Melissa O in NYC | May 9, 2007 9:21 PM
I believe that GG is ending too soon. The show has just starting getting good again, and needs a least two or three more episodes, at the VERY least. There is too much stuff to wrap up, where will Rory go for work? What will happen with Luke and Lorelai?
I have to say, along with everyone else, that KTLA ruined the last of this amazing show with the fire coverage. Not only am I losing my favorite show, I didn't get to see the second to last episode.
Thanks alot KTLA, for a) taking away my favorite show and b) ruining the last few weeks of it.
Posted by: Tori | May 9, 2007 9:13 PM
such a waste! keep the show on the air!
Posted by: Anonymous | May 9, 2007 8:07 PM
Wow, I think last night was a bit of a microcosm for the past season of GG - waiting for something good, then getting mugged by the KTLA fire coverage - what happened to a scroll across the bottom of the screen?
I initially came in late to GG, but I really enjoyed the show. I think when you lose the creator, that can kill some of the creativity, and I personally felt teased by the Luke-Lorelai possible get-together, but the crime is that neither actress received an Emmy nod, and really, both should have won Emmys for their work, as should have the writers and creators.
I'll miss this show, but there's always syndication
and DVDs. Congrats to GG for some fine TV!!
And Kelly Bishop - man, will I miss Emily!!
Posted by: doug | May 9, 2007 8:06 PM
I can´t believe that Rory and Logan end it up just like that! If the show is going to end, How can they do that!!! I´m sorry for saying this, but that is so estupid!!

I am really happy that rory said no to logan.they just dont fit together and logan changed her sooo much.
part me really wants her and jess to get together =)
but who knows...
i think that its ok for them to end the show, because then they have to keep dragging things on making it boring, like they did with 7th heaven.
Posted by: Larissa | May 9, 2007 6:06 PM
I think ending your best show is a big mistake. Everything else you have running is complete crap.
There is so much more you can do with gilmore girls. If you guys are just bored with writting.....then get better writters. YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME ANGRY!!!!!!
Posted by: Mark Krawchuk | May 9, 2007 6:01 PM
There was no warning. All the other shows ending had some warning. Then to break up Rory and Logan made no sense, especially since it is the end. They have been through a lot and the "excuse" is typical and boring - age. Age is nothing but a number. Well I wish everyone on the show good luck in their future endeavors.
Posted by: Sone | May 9, 2007 4:53 PM
we need another season!!!! i love the gilmore girls and always have. this can't be the end, the new writers are just now in a good grove! i want to see luck and lorelai get married...and that in its self could take up a few more season's. and what about rory??? i want to see the direction her life is going to go( will she have kids? get married, ect.) if you do end the show i think the ratings for the cw will drop...alot!!
plain and simple ending the show is a big mistake!!!
Posted by: tabitha | May 9, 2007 4:52 PM
I think that last nights episode was one of the worst episodes ever! You guys broke up rory right before the series finale that was just so horrible! I think that the new writers should have done a better ending and I think that when they decided to end the show for good they should have changed rory's decision. I think that the writers ruined the ending of this great show!

The person who made the call for the news coverage on the fire should be fired. It was one of the last shows for Gilmore Girls. I called KTLA also, but their schedule has not been updated for Saturday at the time they say, so I am a little confused. Not only that, but if you click on the Gilmore Girls link it asks you questions that give away what we missed!!!!! No other major station interrupted their regular shows. And the information covered was the most worthless junk, the same things over and over. I am soooooooo mad, what a bunch of idiots.
Posted by: Renee | May 9, 2007 1:16 PM
I feel terrible about the fire in LA, but, as someone else has already pointed out, the other major channels didn't interrupt their programming and left it to be covered on the regular newscast. How could CW allow this to happen to the second to last episode ever of Gilmore Girls? How can we find out if the show will be aired before the finale, or ever? Do we have to wait for reruns or the Season 7 DVDs to come out?
Posted by: Marcia | May 9, 2007 12:31 PM
Ditto all of the above statements. I think that a news crawl along the bottom would have been fine. I know that everyone is still trying to earn that award winning coverage like Jennifer York did years ago! We live a couple of hours away so we weren't going to be evacuated. Plus you are the only local station that decided to air on BOTH CW stations!!! One would have been enough. Please leave our primetime sitcoms alone.

My daughter and I love Gilmore Girls and are upset that it is being cancelled. Last night just added insult to injury when the show was preempted by the fire coverage that could have been done in just a few minutes. It REALLY did seem like the newscasters were just listening to themselves talk with NO NEW NEWS TO REPORT!!! I have empathy for the people affected by the fire and wish them all the best, but they weren't getting any NEW news either - their power was out! We couldn't believe that they didn't go back to the show. I've been checking the KTLA website, but it doesn't say anythig about the show being preempted. When will it run again BEFORE next Tuesday?

I am so upset that they covered the fire instead of our second to last Gilmore Girls episode. What are they thinking?! Ever since CW came in the shows have not been the same. I am so disappointed in CW. Gilmore Girls is a wonderful show that has such a loyal fan base. How dare they take our show away and in addition cut us off from one of the last episodes ever?! I called the network and they act like it is no big deal. How rude is this network? No other network left their shows to cover the fire, and all of the other networks are just as close to this fire as KTLA is. What gives? I am so upset. If you are going to take away one of the last great shows then at least let us watch the entire episode without a boring anchor talking for 3 hours about a fire that could have been covered in the 10 pm news hour.

I am as upset as the rest of you who found it amazing that KTLA News has so little awareness of what shows their channel airs that they would take one whole hour to say nothing new about the fire. Sure Hal Fishman is a patriarch of LA news and this fire is a historical event as far as this city goes but the news could have cut in during commercials or at the half hour to give the few brief updates that they found necessary. What likely happened is that channel 5 did not want to have the part of the public interested in the fire watching channel 9 or another channel for fire coverage. Let me know when they plan to re-air our GG. Earlier in the season when the show had to be postponed due to a speech, the show was shown again on the following Saturday, let's hope that happens again.

Gee, I 'm looking forward to reading a show summary rather than actually watching the show. Thanks for caring about your viewers, CW! And for advertising when you'll be (re)playing Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars!
I don't know what I would have done without two hours of people repeating "we thought we had it under control earlier this afternoon, but I guess not."

i am a true Gilmore Girls watcher and fan, iv always wanted to meet the actors and i dont think that the series should end, not now. There is so much more to write about Suckie and her new baby and rory getting married and lorili and luke getting back together. Personally this is the worste time to end it. Give the show an 8 year run please.

I'm all for the coverage of a magor event such as a big fire, but give us a break Hal Fishman. I'm a loyal KTLA news fan and I watch your news and only your news and I enjoy your commentary's but give us a break and keep the news on the time it's suppose to be on and let us enjoy our late night sitcoms.

This blog post is only adding insult to injury, since KTLA is well aware they preempted a good portion of the show for the fire coverage. It's this kind of behavior keeps the CW and it affiliated stations a second-tier network. Did ABC, CBS, Fox or NBC cut in like this? Nope. Catch a clue, KTLA.

Totally, KTLA has ruined the whole night of Southern California viewer by covering the fire report (3 hours???) which is enough already. I wish we could catch up the episode online.

We are begging you to rebroadcast the second to last episode EVER of the Gilmore Girls. Us fans are saddened enough. While I appreciate the importance of "If it bleeds, it leads", 2 hours was a bit much. Please reair it before next Tuesday.

I can't believe that KTLA would spend 2 hours talking about a fire with really...nothing new to report. None of the other news stations interruped the regular programs for an extended period of time. I'm really disappointed with KTLA.
They need to re-air the program or at least post it on this site so that So. Cal can watch before next week.

I too am extremely upset about the fire coverage ruinnig the 2nd to last episode of Gilmore Girls. I look forward to it every Tuesday and until last night I had not heard that NEXT tuesday is the FINAL one, so to have this one interupted for something that could have been covered on commerical breaks was little more then upsetting...the problem is if it is not re-aired before the final episode we will not only be lost but will have to wait til it comes out on DVD and that will probably be a year or two because they are ending the show, meaning no longer on and so there will be no reruns to catch us up. I would love to see it re-aired before next tuesday and I do believe I am not the only one who feels like this!!!

Finally! Someone else who thinks Amy Sherman Palladino left a mess at the end of last season. I think the new team has found its stride, albeit too late :( but definately deserves credit for righting the ship ASP tipped over on her way out the door.....

Ditto above - fire status should have taken a minute or two - up to 5, but instead, the anchor wanted to hear himself talk, and we missed the 2nd to last episode. Any chance of re-airing, BEFORE the final episode, so we know what's going on?

With the fire over-coverage(turning a 2 minute status update in to a 2 hours of nothing to say but the fire is still burning) we missed the second to last Gilmore Girls. When will you broadcast it.

KTLA% ruined it for all of Southern California with its uneventful and breaking in on this great show. When are we going to see this episode.

With only two nights left of Gilmore Girls I was VERY upset that you took away last nights show to have complete comverage of the fire. Was it showm at a later time or will it be shown again before the last show is aired?
This is a great show and I am sorry it has to end.
