Wow. This is the first time I'm reading this site. So many no's for MM. That's too bad, since we've seen almost every other iconic hero in the media for so long, I thought it would be good for there to be a character that could link that universe in a new and fresh way. MM could be a totally cool new age detective of the real and the fantastical. He could bridge the gap in the D.C. universe between Smallville and Metropolis. There will probably never be a Justice League show, or any other movie attempt, just individual renditions of their characters. MM could not only tell some pretty awesome stories of his own, but also be the breeding ground for some of our favorite characters and possibly villains from the D.C. universe. If Smallville, and now Heroes has shown us anything, it's that there can be a way to tell these stories and maintain the humanistic drama. Not only am I interested because I play J'onn J'onnz, but I'm interested in these stories being told from a source of interest and mystery, which MM possesses. He's arguably the most powerful of the D.C. heroes, and his compassion for humanity is second to none. If he was set in a gritty, urban setting with the weight of the world on his shoulders, and a desire to help human kind pull their heads out of their ass, fight some awesome villains both earthly and supernatural, and show humanity a better way, I'd watch that show every week, even if I didn't play the dude. One more thing: I love comics, and all of us who are into them. Whether they think MM is a good spin-off idea or not, we are all truly passionate about this genre, and if I were to do a show about The Martian Manhunter, you better believe that it would have the coolest references, and continuity points that I could muster. It would be the kind of show that we all would honor and respect. The best action (I am a bonifide martial arts practioner and instructor), storylines, characters, origins, etc... It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. It would also be great to prove all of you knuckleheads who disagree, wrong. Very few people initially liked another show that I did too (Seinfeld), so you never know until you try.
By the way, I agree with the guy who said that The Mantis sucked. It totally lost any grasp on reality, and the fantasy/acton portion was weak as hell. Give MM a chance and you could have a kick ass show.

i like this story i love all of the stuff they do on smallville pretty much ive seen every episode many times and im still not understanding what happened with the pregnancy. either they had too many stories goin on at once or there leading up to some crazy suprise at the last moment with that story if anybody knows please explain to me killag4killacam at aol also there was another question or statement i had but i lost my train of thoguht filling out this i q test lookin bunch of crap everybody makes you fill out a darn s a t test just to be able to comment on blogs but still you could post as "dicktracypruneface@prunetracydickface.com" and nobody would know the difference... it should be easier but censorship is the only way to make old peoples nagging about anything there not comfortable with appear to be justified somehow by the acceptance in general of all media to say the word "ass" on tv everywhere its acceptable now but wouldnt kids get slapped for sayin it 7 or 8 years ago? now that its ok with tv its ok everywhere... basicly its a bunch of crap anyword could be labeled a curse and censored in england isnt "bloody" a curse? whatever the censors say people follow like zombies i hate it... thats why when i eat breakfast i ask mom "can you please pass me the good f(^#ing cereal? this milk tastes like s(%t i think its old".. and after its said a few times it turns into acceptable common stuff and nobody turns into bums drug addicts pimps hos killers dealers gangs or etc. like people think will happen to america if we say f words and such on tv ok that got nothing to do with this blog bare with me please i swear im like a huge serious smallville fan and i got all season 5 and 6 tivo'd ;) anyway guys seriously let me know whats the real deal with the pregnancy and omg did they kill chloe? that would fit as shes not part of his legend i think but so what shes great as a character and a actress besides the occasional long close ups of her making funny faces at clark suggesting shes related to the camera man or director or something (not that she needs to be-tori spelling was on this show once right? i think she ruined what woulda been a pretty cool villan too) anyway my ranting breath is up I LOVE SMALLVILLE YAY SMALLVILLE ROCKS WOOOOT WOOT WHOOT SOMEBODY HIT ME UP AND BUG OUT AIGHT PEACE

Hey you know something it would never work with Martian Manhunter..I don't know but for some reason I'm getting that vibe of a show that use to be on Fox network does anyone remember the show that let us all down The Mantis that show sucked big time.

i think a show for the justice league would be cool! oliver queen on his own show? i love ollie he is a good actor and he is super duper hot!!! i wanna see more of him! please bring him back to smallville and please hook up lois and clark already!! they make the perfect couple! i love lois she is the best lois ever!!!!! i love smallville!!!!!

I 'd say no to Manhunter and yes to both a Metropolis and a Justice league spin off. Or maybe after smallville, hit the big screen with Tom as Superman, You can call the movie Metropolis I heard that Wb wants to make a Justice league movie I recommend they use Tom as Superman not Brandon Routh another thing where is the cameo of young Bruce Wayne you need to do it soon cause this loveie dovey stuff is not working for me I would like to see more DC heros come through smallville more action please and also you need to out do heroes from nbc. DC universe rules don't let it get beating by Marvel. that's it for now I hope some one sees this and does something about it.

I think a spin-off of the Justice League would be cool. At least cooler then the Aquaman spin-off they tried to hype up which didn't even get off the ground.

if they have a spin off it should be about the justice league or about Pete. I don't think they should do a spin off for the manhunter. I mena he just barely came onto the show!!

That show needs to tank fast...like yesterday.

I would be in for a Justice League spin off without any romantic triangles and angst.

As much as I liked Martian Manhunter on Smallville, I'd say - no.
If they want a spin-off they should try Justice League. That way you could have Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman. They don't even all need to be in every episode. But it would give them much more stories to tell.
