omg! I love this show! I thought it would be stupid and superficial but it's dramatic and addicting! However I miss Hidden Palms, One Tree Hill and most of all VERONICA MARS!Which brings me to my next point WHO SAID KRISTEN BELL SHOULDN'T BE IN THIS SHOW!She makes it worth watching!

but i was just a little dissapoiinted with Jenny. In the book, it said she was very short and a brunette and she had huge boobs...but she was average height and was blonde and her boobs werent that big.

Um... if it comes from the creators of the OC it better be good. i loved the OC(at least first and second season) and am so depressed its over. This show better live up to those standards!

I honestly can't wait for this show, the previews caught my eye. The book was intriguingly
likable. The only thing that baffles me, is that the CW put this show on [for entertainment] and to buy more time for One Tree Hill's season. Expected enough, this show will become like One Tree Hill, and not just based on the book, as the season prospers. "The High-School Drama," is already set in a show, so please don't steal other ideas from other shows. Another thing, why change it for One Tree Hill's times? Although, It's not my place to say in the least bit, as to when you guys decide to air your shows, but I think you should consider changing some things. Stop re-running the same shows everyday, allow other shows to be aired as well.

I love the books gossip girl and I can't wait until the tv show comes out. But, the people who play each character are not as like they are in the books. I would think Chuck would be taller, wider and have better hair. And Jenny to be taller with bigger boobs and darker hair. Blair and Serena are mainly the only characters who are really good. Anyways I am on book 4 and i love it. Can not wait.!<3

honestly i dont understand why some of you have a problem with the show when you havent seen it..like great so its not smallville or one tree hill and its from the creators of the OC and that blew after the first season but i mean give it a chance. i have read the books and am addicted to them and there is a five minute long trailer of it on youtube that is phenominal. at least reserve your judgment till you have seen and episode

hello duh, this blog is so dumb, jackie (topic starter) if you don't know what gossip girl is or how the story unravels, then find out before you start critizing. i love the books, but i the show will do since there were rumours of a movie being done before.

the book in this series are soooo good. i cant wait for this to come out! after gilmore girls ended i was wondering wat new shows thed come out with. This series is going to b awesome , but i agree they would b better as movies.

I'm very excited about this show, but they casting is good, for the most part. Serena is casted perfect. Blake is a very good actress as we saw in Sister hood of the traveling pants. Blair is casted good, the girl's attitude is perfect, but she doesnt look how much i though her to be. Dan is okay, not bad not good. Jenny is horribly casted. Jenny is supposed to be big boobed and curious, this girl seems to innocent. Nate, is suppose to be this amazingly gorgeous guy, when although i love the actor that plays him in the convenant, i dont think he will be good to play Nate. and Yes!!! We need a Vanessa!! She is very important to the books, and I'm sure the series would be better with her.

i believe that this show is going to be a hit because it deals with the 3 major points of life... Gossip, drama, and reality! i lov the books and since the show is based on the books then teh show shouldn't be too bad! lol

I can not wait until this show comes out i totaly love the books and i even read the other books wtih jenny in it the It Girl those are really good too i cannot wait to see the show

honestly i think that they should have tried harder to match the characters better. serena is a perfect match and blair seems okay but what about jenny and dan? they seem to be nothing like their characters in the books. and what about vanessa? who is going to play her?!

first of all the books are ahmazing and second of all the series is going to be great..especially the cast like dan humphrey who is played by the actor from 'john tucker must die' he is john tucker's brother...also it is not like the other shows and i know for a fact that a bunch of ppl will absolutely love this show!!!!!

The O.C. part two anyone?

Well this just goes to show you if you mess up horribly in one of your seasons and subsequently get canceled on FOX to just grab a new cast and latch onto something that's semi popular and *presto* you get a second chance to incredibly screw up another show!

I never thought that there would be a network lower than Fox, but it looks like the CW will out do them with raunch, stolen ideas and reality shows in their second year! Way to go Dawn!! It took Fox a couple years to get that reputation.
