America's Next Top Model: Did the Loft Get a Bad Makeover?

We saw this bit in the New York Post and just had to share: The landlord who rented Tyra and Co. the loft where the aspiring models stayed in New York is very unhappy. In fact, he claims the girls and the producers caused $500,000 worth of damage to the place. Yipes!

Some of the damage, we can imagine: the landlord says the production company punched holes in the ceiling to hang lights. Well, yeah -- it's a TV show, and that sort of thing is going to happen. He also complains that the floors were ruined, which we can also buy, since you had herds of girls practicing their runway walks in high heels all over the place. That's got to leave a few divots.

But then there's the stuff that makes our head spin: "It appears [the girls] had food fights. There's ketchup and coffee splattered all over the landlord's $20,000 white drapes. There's lipstick on the walls," a source tells the Post. Then there's an ocean's worth of water damage to the bathroom (too much splashing in the tub?), a trashed chandelier (how did the girls even get up there?) and a plugged-up toilet that ended up doing $90,000 in damage to a store downstairs from the loft.

According to the article, the production company has offered to pay the landlord $125,000 in damages, but he's considering suing for more money.

Our questions: Will there be a house mother to keep order next cycle? And what sort of security deposit is the show going to have to put down on their next place?
