When Jason C. sits down with Kristoffer Polaha, one of the stars of the new show Valentine, we totally got why he'd been cast as a modern version of the Greek god Eros -- he charms the pants off us! Kristoffer talks about his inspirations for his character (it's no who you think!), how his real-life wife reacts to being married to a love god, and tells when the gods of old didn't seen Cupis as a harmless, cuddly little creature. Take a look!

Exclusive! Smallville's Justin Hartley on Costumes and Comedy

Last night, Oliver Queen was back on Smallville, helping Clark save the day -- and guard his identity. Our own Jason C. talks with Smallville hottie Justin Hartley about Ollie's downward spiral, the joy of weaponry, and how superhero costumes and comedy aren't mutually exclusive. Check it out!

Supernatural: Sam Winchester, Meet Samhain

Dean Meets the zombies
Happy Halloween! We hope you have a great time this year, and you avoid perils like ill-fitting costumes, sugar hangovers, and pranking teens. If you encounter any of these hazards, just be glad you don't live in the world of Supernatural, where you'd also face razor blades in the candy, boiling apple-bobbing water, the resurrection of the angry (not to mention hungry) dead, and an ancient demonic bad-ass bent on death and destruction.

The boys visit a bucolic town when a man who dipped into the Halloween candy stash two days before the even ends up with a mouth -- and stomach, and trachea -- full of razor blades. Gross! The guys find a hex bag in the house, so they know they're dealing with a witch. Trouble is, they can't figure out why a witch would have it in for the victim. The next day, a teenage girl at a (lame) Halloween party is boiled alive when she bobs for apples. There seems to be no connection between the victims. Maybe the witch has something else in mind?

That something else is Samhain, a particularly destructive demon who was the original reason for the season. (Wiccans, Celtic scholars, etc. -- we know this isn't accurate. We're just recapping what we were told.) In the bad old days, people put on masks to hide from him, left out food as an offering, and carved pumpkins for dramatic effect. But the candy-and-costume lobby co-opted the fearsome celebration, and out Halloween was born. Every 600 years, witches get another shot at bringing him back. Lucky us -- this is one of those years.

After snooping around, the guys discover that Tracy, one of the teens at the tragic apple-bobbing party, is also a babysitter for the razor-eating guy. She's the witch! Or is she? After the guys talk to Don, her art teacher, a hex bag appears in their room. So do a couple of pissed-off angels.

Castiel and his colleague, Uriel, show up to tell the Winchesters to clear out of town. Summoning Samhain breaks one of the seals that keep Lucifer in Hell. The angels would rather raze the place -- and kill everyone in it -- rather than let that happen.

This is a big shock for Sam, who was initially thrilled to meet real live angels. It's heartbreaking to watch him stammer and stutter and introduce himself, all starry-eyed, to Castiel, only to have Castiel gave at Sam's outstretched hand for a good long while before taking it. "I've heard a lot about you," Sam says. "And I you," replies Castiel. "Sam Winchester, the boy with demon blood." You can see Sam wilting as Castiel says it. And Castiel's the nice one! You know those Revelations angels with the fiery swords who rain destruction on the earth? Uriel is one of those. He has no particular desire to listen to "these mud monkeys," and he scoff when Sam says angels are supposed to be merciful. "Says who?" Uriel sneers. Ouch.

Dean takes charge -- he tells Castiel and Uriel that he's not leaving town. If they destroy it, they'll have to take out him, and God probably wouldn't be happy about that. He pledges that he and Sam will take out the witch before he can summon Samhain. The guys track down the teacher and discover Tracy strung up, about to be sacrificed. They shoot Don and free Tracy -- who turns out to be a witch, too! She uses Don as the final sacrifice and calls Samhain into his body. Sam smears blood on his and Dean's faces, and the guys play dead while Samhain rises and kills Tracy. If that makeshift mask was enough to keep them hidden, we're having trouble finding Samhain that terrifying!

Samhain tromps over to the cemetery to raise himself some undead playmates. While Dean tackles the zombies and ghosts, Sam tracks Samhain with Ruby's knife. Samhain pulls the white-light trick, which fails to affect Sam. When Samhain knocks the knife way, Sam is forced to fall back on his demon-whammy powers. It's a close thing -- Samhain gets awfully close before Sam's powers are able to defeat him, and Sam gets a nosebleed and a massive headache before he wins. Dean sees the whole thing.

After that battle, the boys each get touched by their very own angels. Uriel visits Sam and sneers that Sam is using his demon powers again, despite being ordered not to. Sam's alive only because he’s still useful, Uriel say, and the moment he becomes more trouble than he's worth, Uriel will happily get smiting. He also tells Sam to tell Dean to get off his high horse, and recommends that Sam ask Dean what he remembers from Hell. Hmmmm....

Meanwhile, Dean meets Castiel, who says that this was a sort of test for Dean -- they wanted to see how he'd react in battlefield conditions. Castiel admits that he has doubts about what's gong on, and he doesn't know what the right answer is. But he does know that they're all one step closer to hell on earth, and Dean is going to be instrumental in fighting it. "I don't envy the weight that's on your shoulders, Dean," he says. Dean doesn't look too happy about it, either.

Smallville: Look! Up in the Sky! (Or More Accurately, On Top of that Building!)

You know, I'm not just another pretty face, Clark. I have a brain!

Clark Kent took one more step toward becoming Superman this week on Smallville -- and it was a doozy. Jimmy Olsen has been theorizing about a hero for Metropolis for a while, and this week, he got proof -- sort of. When Lois is attacked by a mugger and thrown in in the path of a speeding car, Clark superspeeds to the rescue. Unfortunately, Jimmy is aiming his camera at Lois and her attacker, so he catches a red-blue blur swooping her to safety. Now he's determined to find the hero -- and he wants Clark to help.

So now Clark's singing the "Oh Noes! My Secret!" blues, but the people who know him -- and his secret -- are tired of that tune. Chloe thinks this is a great opportunity for Clark to develop a heroic alter-ego, someone who would give the good people of Metropolis hope. And Ollie emerges from his drunken debauchery to sneer at Clark and tell him to suck it up.

Things take a turn when Jimmy figured out this hero seems to have gotten his start in Smallville, he wears red and blue, he always shows up just at the right time.... wait a second! It's Clark! That explains everything, including the bond between him and Chloe! Clark denies it, but he superspeeds to Chloe's to panic in her general direction. Unfortunately, Jimmy appears soon thereafter. And as he sped there in a car, and Clark STILL beat him there... well, what more evidence does he need?

Clark, Chloe and Ollie cook up a plan to throw Jimmy off the scent with a cunning scenario -- they'll set it up so a disguised Ollie saves the pair of them, giving Clark plausible deniability. The scenario is interrupted by an imperiled Lois (more on that in a second), so Clark disappears right when Jimmy gets menaced by the same mugger who attacked Lois earlier. Ollie saves him, Clark reappears, and Jimmy scoffs -- how dumb do you think I am? Fortunately, Ollie is posed photogenically on top of a building, red cape flapping in the wind. Jimmy buys it. The masked-hero story makes the front page, and Clark will just have to live with it. Thing is, he's starting to see the upside -- maybe his destiny isn't to help from the shadows, but to give people hope.

But that's not the only danger faced this episode. Lois meets Sebastian Kane, the new city reporter, and seems smitten. Something funky happens when he shakes her hand -- he seems to be siphoning memories from her. Indeed, Sebastian isn't who he says -- he's one of the superpowered individuals Tess took out of Black Creek, and yes, he can read the mind of anyone he touches. Tess is using him to find out if Lois stole the crystal. Sebastian discovers she didn't... but she DOES know that he's one of the Black Creek detainees, and that he's a murderer. Tess tells Sebastian to eliminate Lois. That's why she calls Clark in distress.

Unfortunately, in saving Lois, Clark touched Sebastian, and now he knows Clark's secret. Uh-oh! Chloe takes matters into her own hands -- she visits Sebastian in the hospital and touches him. Her Brainiac-enhanced mind overloads Sebastian's synapses, and he crashes. Holy crap, y'all -- did Chloe just kill someone?

Supernatural Podcast: "Salvation"

Listen Now

It's the penultimate episode of Season 1 of Supernatural and once again, we loved Salvation. Massive tension, big baddies, action and angst, and one of the most perfect "previously on" music montages ever set to film. Rock on!

John Winchester doesn't care what you think about him. So there!

The Winchester men are finally banding together to take down the evil demon who killed Mary, and it looks like they've got him cornered. John worked out a pattern that shows where the demon will appear next -- and they'll be waiting for him. Unfortunately, Meg is back, and she's slicing her way though everyone who's ever so much as talked to a Winchester. So once again, the family splits up -- Sam and Dean stay to try to take out the demon, while John goes off to Nebraska to try to fool Meg with a fake Colt. What could go wrong?

Everything, of course -- but that's what makes this episode so unutterably kick-ass. Mia and I debate John's preparation skills (and have some handy hints for other Hunters), voice our appreciation for eeeeeeevil Meg, and ponder the three most frustrating (and exciting) words on television -- "To Be Continued."

Stylista: Megan on the attack

What a rough week for Jason on Stylista! First, the guy gets stuck on a team with Megan and her partner in backstabbing, DyShaun. Then, he suffers a major panic attack at the mere thought of being thrown under the bus by his teammates in front of Anne Slowey and is rushed to the hospital. And finally, he’s unceremoniously thrown off the show for his dismal photography skills.

Somehow DyShaun escaped elimination even though he mismatched the names of two stores in the team’s editorial layout. In journalism school, any assignment containing the most minute spelling or factual error warrants an immediate failing grade. DyShaun’s mistake would comprise the reputation of the magazine if his sloppy editing ever made into the print edition of Elle. So we’re a little confused as to why Jason must pack up his desk instead of DyShaun.

Megan continued her smear campaign against Kate. Sure, Kate’s clueless and definitely not a team player, but no one deserves Megan’s vicious attacks. Megan added Ashlie to her list of potential competitors and without mincing words, admitted that she will try to get Ashlie sent home. We were pleased that Ashlie confronted Megan about her impossible ways. We’re pretty sure we heard the words “Devil’s spawn” pointed at Megan somewhere in their exchange. Megan can dish it out; she needs to learn how to take it.

So, what did you think? Are you interested in the challenges or tuning in to see the next cat fight? We're eagerly waiting for the rest of the house to turn on Megan -- unless Kate throws yet another tantrum.

Top Model Goes Dutch

After many weeks near the bottom and some tough criticism from the judges, we said goodbye to Sheena last night on America's Next Top Model. Will you miss her sassy personality and positive attitude, or were you ready for her to go?

At least Sheena got to enjoy a few days in Amsterdam. At last, the girls went overseas! Watching the models attempt to navigate foreign cities ranks high on our list of entertaining TV -- and this episode didn't waste a second before making them do just that. Yes! Immediately upon arrival in Amsterdam, the girls paired up and embarked on an Amazing Race-style odyssey to find their new apartment, where the host of Holland's Next Top Model awaited them. The winners, Sam and Elina, may never be the best of friends, but at least they were able to work together well enough to score fifty extra frames for this week's shoot.

Next, it was on to the challenge. The girls modeled local designers' dresses in red light district windows. Marjorie's disjointed, jerky poses worked to her advantage, but ultimately, it was doll-like Samantha and McKey who won the challenge with their perfectly choreographed movements. We would've given the prize to Marjorie!

For the photo shoot, the girls went out to sea and posed as "ladies of the ship" -- whatever that means. For ANTM's purposes, we guess it means lots of black eye makeup and a punk/goth aesthetic! Anyway, no big surprises at the shoot: Elina was stiff, Sheena practically made love to a beam, and Marjorie, McKey, and Analeigh were stunners. Oh, and Sam was okay. See what we mean about no surprises?

As for the house drama, well, it wasn't quite as fiery as last week's blowout between Sheena and Elina. The Top Model house remained a house divided, though, with Sheena, Sam, and McKey (the eye-rollers) vs. Elina, Marjorie, and Analeigh (the bathtub bonders). Then Sam and Elina faced off about prostitution, and we're really not sure whose side to take. On one hand, Sam can be pretty provincial. But Elina's almost too I'm-alternative-and-anything-goes for us to handle. Who knows if the editing made it seem that way, but it looked like Elina turned Sam's comment about prostitution being disrespectful into a personal attack.

At panel, the judges tore apart Sam's outfit and continued to not really surprise us with their critiques. We feel like we could conduct panel ourselves! It's practically the same thing every week: Sheena's too sexy, Elina needs to loosen up, etc.

And those two ended up in the bottom two. We really weren't sure who'd be heading home, were you? Ultimately, Sheena's overt sexiness and lackluster pics did her in, but Elina's still on thin ice after two consecutive weeks in the bottom two.

What did you think of the episode? Will you miss Sheena? Who's your favorite of the remaining models? And who do you think will go home next?

90210 Recap: There's No Place Like Homecoming

It's the weekend of Homecoming at West Beverly High and (surprisingly) no one seems to have a date. Annie hasn't been asked, Naomi and Ethan are broken up, Adriana was sent off to rehab. The only couple who seems to be intact is Silver and Dixon, but since she hates the thought of going, she scheduled her wisdom teeth removal for that day. Still, everyone ends up making it to the dance floor before the night is over.

Ethan 90210

Annie is studying for her driver's permit but still has time to sulk about not having a date to Homecoming - apparently she didn't get the memo that dates are so 2007. It's a good thing Ethan is there to clear this up for her. He says he'd really like to ask Annie to the dance but won't because he isn't ready to date since his breakup with Naomi. Have no fear though - they'll meet on the dance floor later.

Dixon is secretly excited about Homecoming and can't wait to ask Silver to go with him. Since Silver is a rebel without a cause, she thwarts his plans by proclaiming the dance to be stupid and asks him to take care of her while her mouth is stuffed with cotton and she's on plenty of pain medication.

If we had a nickel for every time Naomi flares her nostrils during each episode, we could probably afford to move to Beverly Hills to see them in person! Still angry with Adrianna over the whole drug thing, Naomi's luck gets worse when she is handed detention every day for the rest of the semester. Lucky for her (and for us) there's a new cute bad boy who seems to take interest in her. Even if she isn't giving him the time of day right now, we have a feeling sparks will fly eventually. What strikes us as being the most interesting part of 90210 these days is how easy it is to think Naomi is a bitch and then two seconds later think she's great. For example, she thanks Annie for always being nice to her and invites her to go to the dance with her group.

Adrianna has been put into a rehab facility but can't concentrate on getting better when all she can think about is how badly she has hurt Naomi. She tries desperately to get in touch with her to apologize, but Naomi isn't hearing it. Seemingly out of the blue, Navid shows up to be a crutch for Adrianna. He brings magazines, things for her to doodle with and some hair care products. It seemed a bit odd to us that he had taken such an interest in the fallen starlet. She begs him to bring Naomi to her so that she can apologize in person. When he can't produce the goods, Adrianna takes matters into her own hands and escapes to the dance.

When Silver's pain medication wears off she gets a phone call from Annie - who tells her how badly Dixon really wanted to go to Homecoming. Silver wakes up her sleeping boyfriend and is all dressed and ready to go to the dance. He's happy, she's happy, they're cute - le sigh.

Back at the dance, Naomi goes to get punch for herself and her new friend and Annie takes the opportunity to have her dance with Ethan. They get close on the dance floor and poor Naomi is left holding two glasses full of punch. Our handsome detention guy insists on taking her for a spin and we have to admit - they make a pretty cute couple! Still, this doesn't help Naomi's hurt feelings about seeing Annie and Ethan together. She tries to talk to Annie about this but gets interrupted by Adrianna who is pleading with her to accept her apology. Naomi says that she can't because it's just too hard. This sends Adrianna off running to the nearest drug dealer. Navid runs after her and breaks the deal off (and receives a punch to the face). It's now his turn to plead with Adrianna. We find out the two used to be close friends. We weren't really sure if the feelings he was professing to her were romantic or not, but they were definitely from the heart. We're happy to finally have some interesting backstory on Navid! He's not just a pornographer's son anymore and he actually seems like a really interesting character that we're hoping we get to see developed more.

Even though Adrianna almost overdosed, the other students at West Beverly are continuing to abuse drugs. Hot teacher Ryan sees his new student buying drugs and takes her to Harry's office. When Harry doesn't seem all that concerned, Ryan gets angry and says he will go over his head to anyone who will listen. This prompts Kimberly to tell him, "I'm a cop, you idiot," which confuses him but then also must've excited him since he goes in for the kiss later.

When Adrianna stormed off, Naomi and Annie have a heart-to-heart. Annie talks Naomi into forgiving Adrianna. Naomi explains that they can't really be friends if Annie starts to date Ethan. Annie seemed to get irritated by Naomi's logic but she made a lot of sense. Why would Naomi want to hear about Annie and Ethan's relationship? How can they be friends if they can't talk about who they're dating with each other? Finally it struck a chord with Annie and she told Ethan she couldn't date him because she couldn't backstab Naomi. Or at least she couldn't for a whole five minutes - then it was time to get the knife sharpener out and jab away! There we had it, Ethan and Annie's first (and very long) kiss. Let the feud begin in t-minus next episode.

What did you think of last night's episode? Let us know in the comments!

One Tree Hill Podcast: "Our Life Is Not A Movie Or Maybe"

Listen Now

Another episode of One Tree Hill, another round of passionate debate! What can we say -- this show gives us plenty to talk about!

I've got your hair, I've got your book, and I'm coming for your girl!

Lucas gets a surprising offer from a movie producer -- he wants to make Ravens into a film! News spreads fast, and everyone has (mostly inappropriate) suggestions for who should play their parts in the movie. Lucas makes a show of debating whether to take the deal, but of course he signs -- and of course the producer is up to no good! He knows Peyton from her time in L.A., and it looks like he has nefarious motives. Meanwhile, Nathan and Haley are dealing with his new Slamball career, Sam acts out in the worst possible way, Owen grovels to Brooke, and Jamie trusts everyone. Oh, yeah, and the Mouth plot continues to annoy. Sigh.

But that's just the start -- we have plenty more to talk about! Find out why I got bleeped (and I can't believe it took more than 100 podcasts before one of us slipped up!), what prompted Mia to swear off children, and what made Jackie reconsider Jamie's character recommendation. All that a a whole lot more!

Privileged: All About the Have's and the Have Not's

Elbows off the table! Sit up straight! Look at Sage -- she knows how to behave properly at the dinner table!
So this week we finally get introduced to the elusive Mr. Smith on Privileged, and we have to admit we don’t understand why Megan put it off for so long. He actually seemed like a delightful man. Although, we did find John Allen Nelson looked a little to young to be Megan’s father.

The episode started of with some promise. It was kind of fun to see everyone together for dinner. Who could have imaged the girls, Lily, Will and Megan’s dad all sharing a meal together – and it going smoothly?

Just kidding. There were some high points, but there were also some Smith family issues, literally laid on the table. We can’t decide what is worse: Lilly being caught with Rose’s stolen bracelet or her father trying to talk about why their mom left in front of Will and the girls. Hmmm…

Oh, and then there was the fact Charlie still couldn’t get over his issues with Megan, so he totally ditched dinner. It’s time to move on already, mister. Plus, we still can’t wrap our heads around why Charlie would go behind Megan’s back and tell her father she has been in town. Was it bitterness or was he trying to do Megan a favor? Can it really be as simple as Charlie made it sound when he said he just didn’t want to lie to him?

What happens now that Megan has refused to be part of his life because of the way he is treating her? Will he miss her?

On the up side, we are really starting to see the potential the girls have. When Privileged first started our impressions were: snobby, entitled and just plain eeeww. While they still don’t seem apt to just follow the directions they are given, they do the best they can in there own ‘privileged’ way.

Even though it was probably supposed to be dramatic that the girls totally and purposely destroy the prom dresses they were supposed to be altering for girls who can’t afford to buy their own, in all actuality, we had total confidence in them. Fashion is totally their domain. Although making new dresses themselves would have been better, buying the dresses also worked out to be great.

There were also some disappointing and sad moments this week, like Rose and Sage missing their own dad, Megan not reconnecting with her dad sooner and Lily letting Will and Megan down. For all the things they have been through, we can’t understand why she continues to lie and be an all-around trouble maker.

So what will become of the Smith sister’s latest drama? Can Megan forgive Lily and give her yet another try at changing? Does Lily even need to change, and how will her break-up with Will affect her life and relationship with Megan?

Gossip Girl Podcast: "Pret a Poor J"

Listen Now

This week's episode of Gossip Girl caused more than a few arguments here at CW Source Central. We all agreed on the hotness of the opening scene, and we were all undecided on artist Aaron, but after that, all bets were off.

Jenny finally has it with Eleanor, and at the prompting of a wild-child model, she quits the company. Was that a good move, or incredibly stupid? We can't agree. Nate and Jenny finally get together, and one of us thinks it was hot, while the other two remain unmoved. Two of us were appalled by the skeeze factor of the scruffy photographer, but the other one thinks he didn't do anything wrong. Then there's the heartbreaking Blair'/Chuck confrontation, Rufus' continuing failures at parenting, Dan's responsibility (if any) for Chuck and Blair's troubles, and Little J's bad behavior. So much happened!

Find out who had a violent reaction to Jenny's hair and makeup, learn what made Mia mangle her metaphors, listen in as we discuss Nate's motives, and tell us what you think of the photographer -- creepy or harmless? Plus, is Aaron a good guy, and is Agnes nothing but trouble? Find out what we think -- then tell us if you agree!

One Tree Hill: Exciting New Developments!

You must pay the rent! I can't pay the rent!
There's never a dull moment in Tree Hill! This week, the gang faced off with people from their past with mixed results. We adored most of the storylines and the hilarious lines this week -- the writers and actors were having fun with this one!

Besides the fun pace and new developments, we loved all the scenes that paired characters who don't usually get much screentime together. Brooke and Lucas! Nathan and Owen! Nathan and Mouth! Haley, Brooke, and Millie! And that good old-fashioned Lucas/Haley scene reminded us of Season One.

Let's start with Nathan and Haley. Haley's doing her best to be a supportive wife while Nathan slams his way through Slamball with the bruises to prove it. She talks to Lucas about her worries, and Lucas assures her everything's going to be okay. With Jamie out of the house sleeping over at Aunt Brooke's (more on that in a minute!), Haley and Nathan have an evening alone to talk and get passionate. In one of the cutest scenes of the night, Haley tinkers with the piano while Nathan grimaces, and she can't figure out why. Nathan tells her this is what it's like when she makes faces while he plays. Aww! The Scotts end the night with a sensual massage for Nathan from Haley.

Lucas and Peyton each have their hands full with unexpected visitors. Peyton reunites with her brother at a Marines ceremony, and they reminisce about Psycho Derek and chat about Mick. But it's Lucas who has the more interesting visitor. An agent, Julian, shows up on Lucas's porch wanting to meet about turning the first book into a movie. He assures Lucas he's a good guy and really wants to work with him to make it a success. Lucas is a little skeptical, but he checks out Julian's references and everything looks good, so he agrees to meet him for a drink.

Meanwhile, Gigi still hasn't learned anything about appropriate behavior in the workplace. She continues to flirt with Mouth, and Millicent is jealous. Millie effectively marks her territory with a big smooch, but it may have backfired -- Gigi tells Mouth that he's on a tight leash. And the comments don't let up. She can't seem to stop calling him "sexy" or referring to their history. In between interview segments, Nathan gives Mouth some important advice about sticking with his girl and not letting another one come between them. Mouth assures Nathan that he knows, but we have to wonder if he's just a little tempted.

Jamie and Haley visit Q's grave. Jamie asks Haley what she thought of Q when she first met him, and she tells him she thought Q was a bad guy at first. Interesting. There's some cute conversation about whether or not Q is happy in heaven. They decide that he definitely is.

Brooke has her hands full this week -- she's making Peyton's wedding dress, hosting Jamie for a sleepover, trying to keep Sam in line, and fending off Owen's persistent advances. Phew! Sam takes Jamie into her room while Owen tries to convince Brooke to give him another chance, and after a few minutes, Sam has the not-so-bright idea to take Jamie to a party with her.

Owen is just starting to sway Brooke when Millie bursts in -- someone's trying to break into Brooke's boutique. Brooke is livid and goes hunting for her gun... when she sees that Sam and Jamie are gone. And we thought she was livid before! She, Owen, and Millie go tearing through Tree Hill and encounter a truly terrible sight: Sam and a bunch of high schoolers are partying in the now-trashed boutique. Jamie's there, and so is a drunk skateboarding dude who's wearing Peyton's dress -- it's totally spray painted and ruined. Brooke is almost speechless with anger. Can you blame her?

Brooke shares a moment with Jamie, who is wise beyond his years and tells her that Sam isn't really that bad. She's like Q -- she seems bad at first, but she's really a good person. Brooke isn't so sure, but she doesn't give up on Sam like Sam expects it. Back at the house, Brooke grounds Sam and confines her to Brooke's own room -- the windows don't open there. Once again, Sam is all blubbery and upset, trying to apologize and explain herself. But ultimately, she's surprised that Brooke hasn't given up on her yet. It takes a lot to wear Brooke Davis down, apparently.

Back at the bar, Lucas calls Peyton and tells her to come out and meet his agent. Julian talks Lucas into signing an iffy contract that basically allows Julian to do whatever he wants with the novel, but only for six months. Lucas is skeptical, but he allows himself to be talked into it and signs (even as we screamed "Don't do it!" from our couches). Moments later, Peyton arrives, but she runs into Julian by the restrooms first. And they apparently know each other quite well. He makes several references to their past, unnerving Peyton just in time for Lucas to show up. Peyton doesn't seem to want Lucas to know that she knows Julian.... we wonder what happened between those two. Something sordid during her LA years, perhaps?

So what did you think of this episode? Did you like it as much as we did? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Gossip Girl: Lil' J Gone Wild!

Whoa, Lil' J! We knew she'd be fighting with Eleanor this week thanks to some revealing previews, but we never thought she'd be cavorting shirtless with new model pal Agnes while a skeezy photog snapped away. Not to mention -- she actually quit! Quitting school was one thing, but quitting the internship that was supposed to be her ticket to fame and fortune is quite another.

Does Jenny really know how to start her own line? Does Jenny even know where to draw the line when it comes to wild nights out? We're still a little stunned by her half strip-tease with Agnes. Fortunately, Nate showed up before things got too out of hand, and these two look like they're actually going to give their relationship a try this time. But this is a lot on Jenny's plate, isn't it? A new line, a new relationship -- oh, yeah, and a dad who's not going to like these developments one bit. We can't wait to see what happens to her next week.

Speaking of giving relationships a try, well, that's exactly what Chuck and Blair are NOT doing. Yeah, we're disappointed, too. After weeks of Chuck and Blair schemes, the plotting and back-and-forth dissolved into a weak goodbye speech and kiss. The pair agreed that being a couple probably wouldn't work, so they'll stop the games for now and maybe revisit things in the future. We get why they're taking a break from it all, but as viewers, we feel totally let down. Half a season's worth of foreplay and nothing? Well, at least we got some hot moments (um, hello, opening scenes), and we now know that Chuck Bass can't resist the nape of a woman's neck.

While we're rehashing the Chuck/Blair letdown, we have to discuss Dan's involvement in the whole affair. We're not sure which is less realistic: Blair is turning to Dan for advice on her love life, or Serena blaming Dan when it didn't work out. Really? A few months ago, no one on the Upper East Side wanted to admit that Dan existed, and now we're supposed to buy that the fate of one of its most elite pairings rests in his hands? Or actually, Vanessa's, since she's the one who influenced Dan's behavior?

Meanwhile, Serena met a new love interest at the gallery, Aaron. What do you think of him? We're on the fence -- he seems nice enough, and we like the fact that they know each other from summer camp. He's certainly a change from Dan, but we pictured her rebounding with someone more like Nate -- the jock, frat-boy type. An artist will be interesting... that is, if he's still into her. We were as surprised as Serena when just as she decided to accept his dinner offer, he rode off into the Brooklyn dusk with another girl on his motorcycle.

So what did you think of the episode? Is Jenny officially out of control this season -- or just way more entertaining? Will Dan find something else to do besides meddle? And will Blair and Chuck ever make it work? Tell us all in the comments!
