Gossip Girl: Chuck's Manly Lip-Action, Hil's Warm Welcome
Yes, it's nice the cast of Gossip Girl is rolling out the welcome wagon for guest star Hilary Duff, but we’ll get back to that...
Let's go straight to dessert! EW's Michael Ausiello is the first to report the (potentially) scandalous news: Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) locks lips with a dude! Is the jet set's notorious ladies' man switching teams?
Devotees of the Cecily von Ziegesar's Gossip Girl books know Chuck hopped back-and-forth between both sides of the fence, but so far the TV show hasn't flirted with his sexual orientation. Well, juicy storylines always seem to have a catch (or two), and this is no different. The lucky man is Neal Bledsoe (CSI: NY) and he'll appear as Josh Ellis, the head of NYU's freshman affairs, in episode six. It turns out Josh holds in his hands the power to decide who will deliver the freshman speech and Blair decides she's not above using her boyfriend to do some persuading. But apparently it's what Chuck says to Blair following the kiss that's the real kicker -- and Ausiello's lips are sealed! (Meanie.)
Ok, back to Duff. The actress, who will be playing movie star -- and Vanessa's college roomie -- Olivia Burke for a few episodes, has said the show's cast has been nothing but sweet since she arrived on set. "Blake [Lively] and Penn [Badgley] are really amazing," she told People.com. "[Blake]’s been so so sweet to me, and I’ve known [Penn] for a few years. We've kind of lived in the same neighborhood in L.A., just growing up." Swell! Let's hope she returned the favor and showed fellow guest star Tyra Banks the ropes.
Oh, and just to make us work a little harder for his scrumptious gossipy tidbits, Ausiello answered a French fan's question -- about dish on the new GG season -- in their native tongue: "Lady Gaga fera une apparition dans l'épisode spécial 'Halloween.' Batman aussi. Et Robin. Et… Vous voyez où je veux en venir? (Ce sont tous des déguisements, mon ami!)"
Not knowing a lick of French, we'd guess it's something along the lines of: in a special Halloween episode, folks will be disguised as Lady Gaga, Batman, Robin, etc. French speakers -- can you confirm or deny?
What do you think about all the Gossip Girl Goodies? Talk about it in the comments!

The French statement translated is along the lines of: "Lady Gaga will make an appearance during the special Halloween episode. As will Batman. And Robin. And...do you see where I want to go? (They are all costumes, my friend!).
So yeah, as you said, during the Halloween episode people will be dressed up as Lady Gaga, Batman, etc.
