Another day, another bit of unsettling Smallville news. TVGuide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Allison Mack may not be coming back to the show for season 8. Apparently, Michael Rosenbaum's departure is spurring some heavy talks: "Allison's camp used Michael leaving as leverage in the negotiations with [Warner Bros.]," a Smallville source told Ausiello. The source added that Kristin Kreuk's decision to only return for a handful of episodes as Lana only strengthened Mack's bargaining position. "They need Chloe now more than ever -- and Allison's people know it."

The insider isn't optimistic that negotiations will turn out well. Does this mean we'll be saying goodbye to Chloe as well as Lex and, for most episodes, Lana? And will you tune in if so many major players are gone? Talk about it in the comments!

Boy, everybody was having a rotten week on Smallville: Lex got attacked and carved up with Kryptonian symbols, Clark got ambushed by one of his self-appointed guardians, and Chloe had to try to keep her boyfriend from digging into all the Kryptonian secrets around town. In fact, Jimmy may be the only guy having fun -- at least he sold an article.

Let's start with Lex. He's trying to figure out what the little encryption doohickey he got from the bank in Switzerland does, but he's not having much luck. His luck gets even worse when the same guy who attacked him at the bank turns up again. This time, he beats Lex to a pulp and then carves Kryptonian symbols into his chest. Talk about adding insult to injury - the guy wasn't content with pain, he also had to turn Lex into a walking billboard!

When Chloe sees the symbols (courtesy of Jimmy), she tells Clark, and they set about deciphering. The symbols lead Clark to a church in Montreal, where he meets Edward Teague -- the sole surviving member of Veritas. Teague is happy to serve The Traveler until he finds out that Clark knew how bad Lex was, but didn't do anything to stop him. But you were supposed to be the savior of the world! How can you be our savior if you don't stop bad people from doing bad things! Dude, there are countless philosophy courses about that topic alone.

Teague decides that the best way to protect Clark is to save him from himself -- if you're dead, at least then no one can control you! Clark has issues with this plan, but Teague is packing Kryptonite, so he can't really argue. Teague chains Clark to a spiffy Kryptonite-channeled sacrifice table, carves him up a bit, then leaves him to die. Good thing Jimmy told Chloe about he human sacrifice angle -- she got there in time to free Clark.

Upstairs, Lex figures out that his encryption doohickey fits into a clock, and that clock contains the something that may lead him to what will control the Traveler. After a fight with Teague (Clark stops Lex from killing him), Lex gets his flunky to do some research. The doohickey was a music box that played a song about a Scottish island. There used to be a castle on St. Kilda, but some American billionaire bought it and shipped it over to the U.S. Hey, wait a minute -- that's the stately Luthor manor! Finally, we find out why Lex lives in a castle in the middle of Kansas!

Lex gets home and, after some deduction, figures out where the next doohickey must be hidden. He puts the clock doohickey and the fireplace doohickey together, and gets an image of the earth with a specific place marked out. Road trip!

What did you think? Did you buy Teague's actions? Will Lex control Clark? Should Clark kill Lex to keep that from happening? Talk about it in the comments!

We're backing away slowly from the melon ballers after this episode of Supernatural! Seriously-we haven't been that freaked out (or grossed out) in a very, very long time. Something about the immortal Dr. Benton, with is stitched-up face and borrowed organs, just gave us the willies. Gah!

The guys investigate a town where people are turning up with missing livers, or waking up in a bathtub full of ice minus a kidney. Could it be zombies? Well, not unless zombies are suddenly using Civil War-era surgical techniques. The various bits are being harvested.

Sam figures out the culprit is Doc Benton -- a guy who figured out the secret to immortality. Yes, John Winchester took his heart out, but apparently the not-so-good doctor got another one. See, he may have figured out how to live forever, but that doesn't mean various bits and pieces don't wear out after a lifetime of use.

But Sam knew all along that Benton was the culprit -- he wants to find the doc and learn the secret of immortality for Dean. If Dean doesn't die, he can't go to hell. Smart, right? Dean has other things on his mind -- Bobby got a lead on Bela, and Dean is bent on finding her and taking back the Colt. If he can't do that, he'll be happy just killing her.

So the brothers split up, which is always a dicey proposition. Dean finds Bela (with the help of hermit-like Hunter Rufus, who we loved), and tells her he knows her story. Her parents died in a horrible car crash years ago, and Bela inherited big bucks. Bela doesn't want to talk about the past - she tells Dean the Colt is long gone. Dean looks like he's going to kill her, but he notices some greenery on the top of her door and lets her live. Bela picks Dean's pocket and finds out the hotel he and Sam are staying in. She calls that information in to someone.

Sam continues his search for the undying doc, and finds his workshop. One of Doc's victims -- a recent heart donor -- is very dead. Another -- a woman with the skin flayed off her arm, and maggots crawling all over the wound -- is still alive. Sam rescues her and drives away, running over the doc in the process. But a little grievous bodily harm isn't going to keep that guy down! He tracks Sam down and drags him back to his lair, where he decides he's going to harvest Sam's pretty, pretty eyes. Enter the jagged melon baller, which he pushes entirely too far into Sam's eye socket... but before he can scoop the eye out, Dean enter, shooting. Shots don't bother Benton, and neither does the knife Dean stabs him with -- but chloroform, which Dean poured all over the knife, does have an effect. When Doc wakes up again, he's incapacitated. He tells the guys he can share the secret of staying alive, and Sam wants to hear him out - it can buy us some time! But Dean wants nothing to do with it -- I don't want to be some ghoul living off stolen body parts! I'd rather go to hell! The guys lock Doc in an old refrigerator and bury it out back. He may not be able to die, but Doc isn't going anywhere for a while.

Meanwhile, Bela finds the guys' hotel room -- and shoots up the bodies in the beds. Fortunately, those bodies were blow-up dolls (Hee!). Dean calls -- he knows what's going on. Bela didn't kill her parents herself -- a demon did it. She sold her soul to destroy her molesting, abusive parents when she was 14, and now, 10 years later, the contract is up. She confesses that she was trying to use the Colt as leverage to get out of her deal, but instead, the demon who had her contract told her to kill Sam. That demon -- the big, bad Lilith -- holds Dean's contract, too. Bela begs Dean for help. Too late, he says -- if you'd come to us from the beginning, before all the cheating and double-dealing, we might have been able to do something. Now it's too late. He hangs up, and Bela sits there, alone, listening to the Hellhounds bay and snarl as they come to take her to hell.

What did you think? Were you satisfied with the resolution to the Bela story? Do you think Dean should have listened to what Doc Benton had to say? Are you staying far away from the cutlery drawer? Talk about it in the comments!

Dominique headed back to America last night on Top Model, and it wasn't a huge surprise. We realized that, especially this week, she's really grown on us. Yeah, she had delusions of grandeur and bursts of excessive self-confidence, but we're inclined to think she needed them after enduring the harshness of panel. We agree that she wasn't the best model there, but did they have to chuckle about her manliness week after week? If it was that bad, why not cut her six episodes ago? The girl's features aren't going to morph into Anya's overnight.

Let's backtrack. For the challenge, the models got behind the camera and shot Paulina, who, by the way, needs to start co-hosting this show (at least). She's stunning, her critiques are honest but not cruel, and she doesn't mock accents (ahem, Tyra!).

Anya nearly exploded with creative energy, asking Paulina to frolic with leaves and tug at branches. Dominique struggled a bit with the challenge, and Whitney and Fatima were more studied in their approach. Fatima ended up winning -- her first challenge victory ever!

The prize, while not the most glamorous, was an important one -- 50 extra frames at this week's photoshoot. The girls were styled as '50s-style starlets being caught by the paparazzi while clutching the arm of an Italian man... not an easy shot, even with cameraman Nigel and Jay Manuel coaching them through it. They had to appear surprised, yet sexy. Startled, yet not posed. Only Anya managed to nail it, but Nigel remained underwhelmed because the moment he captured was an accident. Well, maybe so, but it was a beautiful accident!

Fatima ended up needing her 50 extra frames. Nervous about posing with the guy ("I've never had a boyfriend"), she posed awkwardly, sometimes turning completely away from the camera.

Whitney didn't do much with her body, but her eyes spoke volumes. And Dominique? She didn't fare so well.

At panel, the judges criticized Dominique yet again for her mallrat style. When they pulled up each girl's best photo, it was hard to believe that Dominique's was really her best -- it was horrid. Fatima's photo might not have accomplished what Nigel wanted, but at least her beaming smile and graceful pose were modelesque. Dominique's barely looked like her!

Once Tyra announced that Dominique and Fatima were in the bottom two, we expected to see Dominique head home. Fatima doesn't take direction well, but the judges like her better. Plus, Dominique's problems were rooted in her look, not her modeling. And her look wasn't likely to change anytime soon. Bye-bye, Dominique! Her exit was classy and sweet, and we'll miss hearing her running commentary in next week's finale.

Now we're down to the final three: Anya, Fatima, and Whitney. Who do you think will win it all? Who do you WANT to see win? Vote in the polls!

We're coming to the end of Beauty and the Geek, and the challenges are getting tougher. The producers seem to revel in putting the Beauties through their paces by exposing them to disgusting or smelly messes, and the Geeks keep getting pushed out of their comfort zone to deal with fashion.

Let's start with the Geeks. The guys were told they were gong to style and shoot models -- and Tommy immediately starts wishing for Amber. Tommy, Tommy, Tommy.... We know Amber made an impression on you, and she wasn't difficult to look at, but she was a nasty person and she basically said she'd want nothing to do with the geeks. Give it up.

The models were four geeky girls who needed to be restyled. Think scraggly hair, glasses, baggy clothing... but like Nicole from last season, they all had the potential to be knockouts. Matt immediately ignores Leticia's instructions and puts his model in capri pants, which makes her look shorter, but he does oversee a fabulous new haircut. Joe goes off the rails by dressing his model in multiple layers -- cute, but more suited to the 1950s, and not something the Beauties would pick as a fashionable outfit.

Chris and Tommy both do fantastic jobs on their models -- they show of the smokin' bodies that were under the baggy sweaters, and the hair and makeup looks great. What's more, both girls are having loads of fun. Chris, who got his model in the most overtly sexy outfit, wins the challenge (and we have to say, we loved the top he chose for her).

Now that the challenge is over, it's time for the drama! Chris celebrates when he wins by jumping up and down, and while we don't think it was obnoxious, Leticia thinks he's being arrogant and rubbing people's noses in his win. If he kept up the arrogant behavior from last week, we can sympathize, but we didn't really see it this time out. Tara and Joe fight, because that's what Tara and Joe do -- Tara accuses Joe of spending all his time flirting with the girl, and Joe gets frustrated that Tara won't acknowledge that he tried his best. Tara interprets that is him being pissed at her for not supporting him without question, and we don't really see where she gets that.

On to the Beauty challenge. The women have to deal with various plumbing problems in a nasty bathroom. The tub is full of brown water and won't drain, the toilet isn't flushing, and a ring got washed down the sink. We have to admit, that tub looked pretty darn nasty, and the only way to get it unclogged was to drag out the gunk and hair blocking the drain. Bleh.

Leticia is apparently the only Beauty with real-life experience dealing with plumbing nightmares -- she flies through the challenge before Cara and Amanda have even drained the tub. Well done, Leticia!

That means Tommy and Amanda face off against Tara and Joe in the elimination room -- and praise be, Tommy and Amanda win. We've never been subtle about how much Tara and Joe got on our nerves, whereas Tommy seems like a genuinely nice guy and Amanda is at least inoffensive (actually, we don't have much of an opinion about Amanda at all. Hmm.). But we will (grudgingly) admit that Joe had his moments of charm this week when he was working with his model, and Tara... nope, we can't really think of anything good to say about Tara this week. She even spent part of the exit interview telling Joe that he had something smelly and/or disgusting on his face. She was pretty sure she'd taught Joe something, but we don't know if she learned anything.

We're down to the final three. Who do you want to win? What will the final challenges be? Talk about it in the comments!
