Wakeup Workout: Thriller Dance

thriller0211.jpg

In keeping with our on-air celebration of the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Thriller, we had an absolutely AMAZING choreographer/dancer Giovanni Perez stop by and thrill us with a lesson on how to do the dance moves made famous by the King of Pop himself. If you watch the clip you can see in the on-stage monitor playing the Thriller video just how perfect Giovanni keeps to the original steps.

For more information on Giovanni, log onto myspace.com/gioluvny or email him at gioperezny@aol.com. Believe me, this guy can teach even my rhythm-deaf dad to dance, so if you think you've got blocks for feet, give him a try.

WATCH THE VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP

While we're on the topic of Michael Jackson's Thriller, who can resist the opportunity to once again watch the clip of 1500 Filipino prisoners performing the Thriller dance with uncanny precision? It's more creepy than the 1983 original!

This was a very poor attempt at the dance. A cheap imitation and very disrespectful to the original.

I will not be satisfied with my life until I know the thriller dance from start to finish. Only then will I rest in peace. hahah just kidding, only sort of.

@ Jack Perez-don't be a jerk. not everyone can be a Michael Jackson. everyone does the best they can with what they got, even if it isn't much.
