Will Smith on 'Hancock' and Trauma Management

Actor Will Smith talked to the CW11's Emily Frances about his upcoming modern-day superhero movie Hancock, opening July 3.

Hancock is certainly not the classic superhero. Rather than being a knight in shining armor for the people of Los Angeles, he's a sardonic, bungling plain-clothes nuisance whose good-intention heroics leaves destruction -- and a huge financial toll -- in his wake.

Hancock is not concerned about his public image until he saves the life of PR exec Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman). Their chance meeting makes Hancock realize that he needs to be the people's champion. But has the damage already been done for people to accept Hancock's change of heart?

Will Smith got his big break in 1990 as the star of the TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In recent years, Smith has played the lead actor in a string of blockbuster hits including Hitch, The Pursuit of Happyness and I Am Legend.
