Legal Aid's 'Books for Kids' Helps Eases Family Tensions

Legal Aid's Books For Kids Project provides books for the children who come to the Family Court to help ease the tension of this traumatic experience.
Developed by social workers and lawyers at Legal Aid's Manhattan Juvenile Rights office located in the New York County Family Court building, a storage closet was transformed into a reading room for children involved in the court system.
Books for Kids need your help to continue their work. For more information on donating new or gently used books for kids ages 0 - 21, check out http://www.legal-aid.org/en/mediaandpublicinformation/inthenews/booksforkids.aspx.

The love for books is the best cure for loneliness. The age of computers and internet is a boon for all. What existed in paperbacks and novels is now available online in the form of e-books. These are simple PDF formats and also downloadable as word files.
