Actor Luke Ford Talks 'Mummy 3'

luke.jpg

Luke Ford plays Alex O'Connell, Rick O'Connell's (Brendan Fraser) son in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Alex travels with his explorer father and is part of the team that uncovers a lost Chinese emperor's tomb. But Alex accidentally awakes the Dragon Emperor (Jet Li) from his 2,000 year old curse. Now the entire O'Connell archaelogical family must work together to restore peace.

This movie is is a landmark achievement for Ford as it is his first international film and his debut into the American film industry. Hardcore fans will recognize Ford from the the Australian TV show McLeod's Daughters, where he played Craig Woodland. Ford also starred in recent Australian film The Black Balloon with Toni Collette earlier this year.

His fellow Aussies who have taken American cinema by storm include Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and the late Heath Ledger. Ford's career has only just begun and, if his fellow Aussies are any indication, he'll certainly go far.
