Actress Rue McClanahan Plays Southern Belle In 'Sordid Lives'

Rue McClanahan plays Peggy Ingram on the new LOGO series Sordid Lives.
Once again McClanahan plays a Southern belle, but Peggy is the polar opposite of her character Blanche Devereaux on the mid-1980s hit Golden Girls. Where Blanche was man-crazy, Peggy is more of a sheltered, goody-goody who until recently started living her life.
In fact, Peggy was only recently talked into going to a bar, where she drank her first beer, first dance and first on-the-whim kiss with a local gentleman. And according to the character bio, "I [Peggy] accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was only nine years old and have led my life by these four words -- 'What would Jesus do?' Until lately. [...] Now I know that Jesus would not be having carnal relations with his daughter's best friend's legless husband -- but I just can't help myself."
