Radio Week: Matt Pinfield of 101.9 RXP

It's Day 2 of Radio Week at the CW11 Morning News, and Matt Pinfield of 101.9 RXP is taking a break from his morning radio show to read the entertainment news for us at 6:10am. And be sure to stay tuned for his interview with our Emily Frances at 6:40am!

Matt has had radio in his blood since he was a toddler. From listening to the record player when he was 3 to creating a hack basement radio station when he was 9, Matt also became the youngest disc jockey at Rutgers University at the age of 16. An award-winning and influential veteran of the music and entertainment industry, Matt was honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in May 2008 for his contributions to the music.

And when he's not giving his listeners the New York rock experience on 101.9 RXP, Matt is the vice president of artist and recording and artist development for Columbia Records signing and overseeing the making of albums by many gold and platinum acts including Coheed & Cambria and Crossfade.
