Constantine Maroulis Rocks Out to the Eighties

con1217.jpg

Constantine Maroulis stopped by to talk about starring in the new off-Broadway show "Rock of Ages."

Echoing aspects of his own rise to stardom, the singer-turned-actor plays the lead role of a young rocker in the '80s looking to make a name for himself in Hollywood while the rock club he frequents is at risk of being shut down by developers. The musical features iconic hits from the likes of Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar and Asia.

Born in Brooklyn to Greek-American parents, Maroulis rose to fame as a contestant in the fourth season of American Idol. His acting repertoire includes appearances on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He has also appeared as himself as a contestant on Don't Forget the Lyrics! and sang with host Wayne Brady.

Thank you so much for posting this great interview. Not living in the area, I'm a fan who appreciates any and every opportunity to see Constantine. Performing, talking, whatever. He's simply the best!

Great picture, too!

Thanks for showing the interview with Constantine. He is a star --- rising to the top !The clip of Rock of Ages was a great representation of what the show is like - - except much better, and even more energetic and exciting. They deserve broadway !!!

Constantine Rocks, loves this guy!

Thank you so much for posting this interview, the West Coast needs more updates. They just need to tour with the show for those of us of the left coast. Those of us who knew better have always believed this was always our true "idol". Always the best,

Rolling Stone was absolutely correct: Rock of Ages did find the perfect person to play the lead in this high energy, good time show. Constantine can truly rock out or let his beautiful voice soar on the ballads in this demanding role.

I'm not surprised there are already rumors of Broadway- the show is so refreshingly different than anything I've seen on stage in a long time.

Thanks for doing the interview!
