The Eric Mintel Quartet Jazzes Up the Holidays

The Eric Mintel Quartet performed "Mojito Madness," followed by "Christmas Is Coming" in our studio this morning. The jazz quartet made its first appearance on our show a year ago to spread holiday cheer.
Formed in 1993, The Eric Mintel Quartet has performed at the White House for former President Bill Clinton and at the Kennedy Center 11 times. The band comprises of Eric Mintel on the piano, Nelson Hill on the saxophone and flute, bassist Dave Antonow and drummer Dave Mohn. Hill has performed with the likes of Tony Bennett and Frankie Vallie, while Antonow has toured with the USO through Germany.
The Quartet's latest album, Ground Breaker "just happened," comments Mintel. The album was the band's response to their fans' requests that they record the music they were playing in concert. It was recorded at Bennett Studio, which, as it happens, is run by Tony Bennett's son Dae Bennett.
Ground Breaker is in stores now. For more information on The Eric Mintel Quartet, visit www.ericmintelquartet.com.
