Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio Reunite On 'Revolutionary Road'

Emily Frances sat down with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio to talk about their new film Revolutionary Road. The two previously starred in the blockbuster 1997 hit Titanic. They said that if their Titanic characters Jack and Rose were married, their dynamic would probably mirror Revolutionary Road's April and Frank Wheelers' life.
Based on the Richard Yate's 1961 book of the same name, the film is set in the 1950s and is about married couple April (Winslet) and Frank (DiCaprio) who have just moved to Revolutionary Road in suburbian Connecticut. They promise each other that they will never fall into the suburban interia of the quiet town, but they quickly realize that it's easier said than done.
Frank becomes "a good man with a meaningless job whose nerve has gone missing" and April is "a less-than-happy homemaker starving for fulfillment and passion," according to the film's official website. April tried to save their passion for life and independence by hatching a plan to start their lives over in Paris. Following through with this grand idea, though, tests April and Frnak's marriage.
Revolutionary Road is in theaters Thursday, January 15, 2009. For more information, visit www.revolutionaryroadmovie.com.
