Haru's 'Shocktails' Make Your Tongue Electric

Keith Dusko, director of operations at Haru, stopped by with their "shocktails." The two drinks, the Electric Lavender and the Electriquila are both made with an edible electric "button" that sends electric-like pulses through your mouth when you bite into it. Guaranteed to create a "spark" for anyone who drinks it.

The Electric Lavender is a sweet option, made with tequila and lavender syrup, and served up. The Electriquila is its sour counterpart, made with tequila, sake and yuzu syrup (yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit), and also served up.

Long used for medicinal purposes, it is getting a lot of attention lately in the adventurous cooking ingredient category after being listed by Food & Wine in 2008 as one of the "100 Tastes to Try". Their two "shocktails" are $12.

It's a travesty that NY Post can put out such a disgraceful and racially motivated cartoon and actually believe people, of any race, is naive enough to believe there are no discriminatory connotations attached to it. It's as as clear as "black and white" what their intention is. It's unfortunate and frightening that NY Post folks have hearts so full of evil and hate to allow themselves to believe that they did nothing wrong. They need to be investigated more deeply to see exactly what type of ties the Post has with those "groups" who openly share their views and hate just as they do. As for me and all the people I know, we will not patronize them and will affect change to see that they feel financial hurt (as we feel a personal hurt) from this article.
P.S. AND THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AL SHARPTON. HE IS SPEAKING FOR ALL OF US WHO FEEL JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED!!!
