The money raised for the painting will go to Dan Dunn's charity of choice, Toy Industry Foundation.

Today, General Hospital’s own Tony Geary, Jonathan Jackson and Nathan Parsons paid a visit to WPIX and we put them to work.

Twilight's Dr. Carlisle Cullen, otherwise known as actor Peter Facinelli, stopped by to talk about his upcoming film Eclipse and his role as Dr. Fitch Cooper in season 2 of the TV show Nurse Jackie.

Facinelli was recently seen starring in one of the highest earning films for Twilight and the Twilight Saga: New Moon. His upcoming film Eclipse is said to hit the movie theaters by Summer 2010. The Twilight films are all based on Stephanie Meyer's #1 New York Times bestselling series. Facinelli also plays a role as Dr. Fitch Cooper opposite Eddie Falco in the new comedy series Nurse Jackie.

Thousands submitted recipes and only 24 were chosen. One of them was a member of the PIX Morning News family! Our own Thalia Patillio is competing in the Food Network's Ultimate Recipe Showdown! and she will share her Fiesta Empanada recipe.

Secret Ingredient: Pineapple

FIESTA FILLING:
Extra virgin olive oil for sautee
1½ lbs of ground turkey
½ tbsp of adobo seasoning (according to taste)
Salt and pepper light sprinkle
¾ cup of sofrito liquid stock base
¾ cup of tomato paste
1/3 cup of finely diced onion
1 tbsp of freshly minced garlic (or more if you like)
2 tbsp of finely finely diced sweet red pepper
¼ cup of finely diced waxy red potato
2 tbsp of freshly chopped cilantro
4 pineapple ring slices, well drained, and finely chopped
24oz Canola oil for frying
10 large or 15 small round empanada shells (found in your grocer’s freezer or purchased at a bakery)

FIESTA FILLING PREP
1. Sprinkle the turkey with adobo, salt, and pepper. Mix together with hands

2. In a large skillet heat 1 tbsp of olive oil on a low flame.

3. Add meat, sofrito, and tomato paste to the skillet. Break up the meat thoroughly with a wooden spoon or spatula.

4. After meat is fully broken up, add onion, garlic, potato, and red pepper. And continue breaking up and browning mixture. Cook for about 30 minutes or until mixture is fully cooked then add the cilantro.

5. Drain excess liquid and move mixture to a mixing bowl. Add diced pineapple and mix well with a wooden spoon.

FRYING EMPANADAS

1. In a large skillet heat 24oz of canola oil.

2. If your using small empanada shells place 2 heaping tablespoons (3 tablespoons for the larger shells) of the mixture into the center. Fold the dough over and seal it using a fork to crimp the edges. Repeat this process for all of your empanadas and place aside without letting them touch one another.

3. Heat oil until it sizzles when you test it by dipping a corner of a completed empanada in it.

4. Fry each empanada for approximately 3 minutes on each side. Don’t crowd the pan. Make sure your empanadas are not touching each other while frying. Remove when golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan and drain well on paper towels!

The laughter started the moment actress Valerie Harper hit the stage and didn't stop until the curtain call. I had the chance to see Valerie Harper in her juicy, new role on Broadway last night, and the way the audience responded to her role as Tallulah Bankhead, in the new play LOOPED at the Lyceum Theatre. This morning we spoke in the greenroom here at WPIX before her interview, and she is simply a class act: fun, energetic and fabulous to be around.

If you aren't familiar with Tallulah Bankhead, here is a little background on the show if you are thinking about going to see it. I highly recommend you grab some tickets before they are all sold out!

Based on a real event, LOOPED takes place in the summer of 1965, when an inebriated Tallulah Bankhead stumbles into a sound studio to rerecord (or 'loop') one line of dialogue for her last movie --Die, Die, My Darling. Ms. Bankhead was known for her wild partying and convention-defying exploits that surpassed even today's celebrity bad girls. Given her intoxicated state and inability to loop the line properly, what ensues is an uproarious showdown between an uptight film editor, Danny Miller, and the outrageous legend.
