Maybe Tiger Should Bail Out The Big Three Automakers

You KNOW things are going bad for GM when they bail out on their advertising campaign with the most well known athlete on on the planet, Tiger Woods. With a year to go and $7 million due Eldrick, GM pulled the plug on having Woods as a spokesperson.

Cry no tears for Woods. His financial future has been set since he was a college star at Stanford more than a decade ago. He probably has more money on hand than the entire GM Buick advertising spread.

The people most in jeopardy here: Workers in and around the different auto plants. Even Motown's sports teams are in trouble. But Tiger's ad deal shouldn't be front page news when our economy and millions of people are suffering. Sadly our society is status and celebrity driven. Perhaps autos' CEO's could sell off their private planes and expensse accounts and make sure factory workers have jobs after January 1st. THAT would be news worth talking about.
