Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right

The news came down today. The Knicks suspended Stephon Marbury for a game and docked him nearly $400G in salary. The disgruntled guard tells NBC's Bruce Beck in an interview he never said he wasn't going to play, and he was "shocked" he was - in his words - "suspended for no reason." Of course coach Mike D'Antoni says differently. Check out the video.
Either way... This is getting to be too much. D'Antoni says it will be resolved some time this weekend. I sure hope so because both sides are wrong in my opinion. The Knicks are wrong for sitting him, especially this long. Ok... If you say he's not in your plans, then go ahead and trade or release him. So what if you lose money on his contract or trade him to a team in your division or conference. Just put an end to the madness. It's distracting to everyone involved with the Knicks. Quentin Richardson said that he doesn't see Marbury as a teammate. Donnie Walsh should have had a better handle on this situation. He should not have let this get to this level. He should have known what D'Antoni thought of Marbury.
Marbury hasn't distinguished himself either. At first, he was saying all the right things. But refusing to play (if that's what he did) is wrong as well. That’s called insubordination. I understand not wanting to play, but he should have swallowed his pride and played. He does not look good to other teams that might be interested in picking him up. Please just end this. I know you're tired of seeing it and I'm tired of writing about it.
